Top Joe Alt News

  • Chargers' Joe Alt: Not on Wednesday's injury report

Alt (neck) was not listed on the Chargers' official injury report Wednesday.

Alt missed the Chargers' last two games before their bye in Week 7 because of a neck injury he suffered back in Week 4 at Seattle, but he is now on track to play Sunday against the Rams. He should start at one of the Chargers' tackle spots opposite rookie fourth-rounder Travis Burke in Week 8.

  • Chargers' Joe Alt: Receives good news after checkup

Alt (neck), who has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, received favorable news after recently being evaluated by a specialist and is expected to ramp up his activity during the Chargers' Week 7 bye, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Alt will be sidelined for a second straight game, but assuming his neck responds well while he begins ramping back up, he could be back in the lineup for the Chargers' next contest Week 8 versus the Rams on Nov. 1. Alex Harkey replaced Alt at right tackle in the Week 5 loss to the Broncos and could draw another start in his stead Sunday.

Alt (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Alt will not play Sunday due to a neck injury that he picked up against the Seahawks in Week 4. Travis Burke figures to draw the start at right tackle in the absence of Alt, whose next chance to play is Week 6 against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Alt (neck) did not participate at the Chargers' practice Thursday.

Alt has missed each of the team's first two practices of the week while nursing a neck injury that he suffered Week 4 against Seattle. The offensive lineman appears to be unlikely to play Sunday versus Denver, and Travis Burke could draw a start at right tackle in his place.
