  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Steps up in Week 4 loss

Coleman secured six of seven targets for 116 yards and a touchdown in the Bills' 29-26 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

DJ Moore went down in the first half with a shoulder injury, opening up plenty of opportunity in the Bills' air attack. Coleman almost fully maximized his additional targets, recording a team-high yardage figure while finishing second in both receptions and targets. Coleman's first two pro seasons were marked by inconsistency, but the third-year wideout has secured 14 of 16 targets for 217 yards and a touchdown over the first four games and 10 of his catches have resulted in first downs. Coleman's 34-yard touchdown grab Sunday also would have delivered the game-winning points had Drake Maye not mounted a successful drive on the ensuing possession, and Coleman could remain in an elevated role during a Week 5 road matchup against the Rams on Monday night, Oct. 12 if Moore is sidelined for that contest.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Good to go for Week 4

Coleman (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

Coleman was DNP on Wednesday but got in a pair of limited practices Thursday and Friday and is ready to go for Sunday's divisional matchup. Coleman has made the most of his limited opportunities in a complementary role early on this season, securing eight of nine targets for 101 yards.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Turns in limited practice

Coleman (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

A spectator for the Bills' first Week 4 practice Wednesday, Coleman was able to take a step forward in activity a day later. The third-year wideout will likely need to upgrade to full activity to avoid carrying a designation into Sunday's game against the Patriots, but at this stage in the week, he appears to be trending toward playing.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Misses practice Wednesday

Coleman (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Coleman dealt with the ankle injury in practice last week and was listed as questionable for Week 3 before suiting up and playing just 48.5 percent of the offensive snaps against the Chargers. He turned two targets into one catch for 37 yards. If Coleman is unable to play Sunday against the Patriots, Joshua Palmer would be in line for increased snaps.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: One big catch in Week 3 win

Coleman saw two targets and recorded a 37-yard catch during the Bills' 24-16 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Coleman's practice reps during Week 3 prep were limited by an ankle injury that he sustained in Buffalo's Week 2 win over Detroit. He was cleared to play against the Chargers and ended up playing 32 of 66 offensive snaps (48.5 percent), third most among Bills wide receivers behind Khalil Shakir (48) and DJ Moore (42). Coleman was responsible for the Bills' longest play of the game late in the second quarter, when he hauled in a 37-yard pass from Josh Allen that led to a one-yard touchdown run by the superstar QB on the next play. Coleman is capable of making big plays in any given game, but it's hard to rely on him for consistent production when he's competing against Moore, Shakir, tight end Dalton Kincaid and running back James Cook for targets from Allen, with Ty Johnson and Joshua Palmer also in the mix. The Bills wrap up their three-game homestand this Sunday in an AFC East showdown against the Patriots, whose defense gave up 35 points (including three passing touchdowns) to the Jaguars in a Week 3 loss.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Suiting up Sunday

Coleman (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

It was reported earlier Sunday that Coleman was expected to suit up for Week 3, and he will indeed do so. Coleman was considered a game-time call for Sunday's contest, so it's not clear if he will be at full speed. However, he -- as well as DJ Moore and the rest of Buffalo's regular pass catchers -- will all be in uniform for Week 3.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: On track to play Week 3

Coleman (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, is expected to play, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

After Coleman sat out practices Wednesday and Thursday before returning to the field as a limited participant Friday, head coach Joe Brady told Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News that the wideout would be a game-time decision leading up to Sunday's contest. The third-year player has apparently made positive strides in his recovery from the ankle injury following Friday's practice, and barring a setback, he should be cleared to play ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Coleman has recorded seven receptions for 64 yards on seven targets through the Bills' first two games of the season, and he could be in store for more volume if fellow wideout DJ Moore (shoulder) -- whom Brady also termed as a game-time decision -- ends up sitting out Sunday.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Questionable for Week 3

Coleman (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Chargers.

After sitting out the Bills' first two Week 3 practices due to an ankle injury, Coleman was back on the field Friday and logged an official limited session to wrap up the week. Head coach Joe Brady told Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News that both Coleman and fellow WR DJ Moore (shoulder) will be game-time decisions, so the statuses of both players may not be known until approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Remains sidelined Thursday

Coleman (ankle) wasn't spotted at the start of Thursday's practice, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

Both Coleman and DJ Moore (shoulder) appear to be sitting out practice Thursday, leaving Khalil Shakir, Joshua Palmer and Skyler Bell as Buffalo's only healthy wide receivers. Coleman will likely need to practice in some capacity Friday to give himself a chance to suit up for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: DNP on Wednesday

Coleman didn't practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.

DJ Moore was believed to be the Bills wide receiver dealing with a health concern this week after he suffered an AC joint sprain last Thursday against the Lions. Instead, Moore was a limited participant Wednesday, while Coleman didn't log any practice reps at all to kick off Week 3 prep. Coleman's status thus bears watching Thursday and Friday to see whether or not he's trending toward an absence Sunday versus the Chargers.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Spike in production during win

Coleman brought in all six targets for 63 yards in the Bills' 41-31 win over the Lions on Thursday.

Coleman benefited from the late second-quarter exit of DJ Moore (shoulder), finishing the game second in receptions and receiving yards for the Bills while also tying for runner-up status in targets. The oft-maligned 2024 second-round pick encouragingly flashed steady hands as well throughout the night, and Coleman will be in line to continue in an enhanced role in a Week 3 home matchup against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 27 if Moore is forced to sit out the contest.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Operates as WR3 in Week 1

Coleman caught his lone target for one yard in the Bills' 36-31 win over the Texans on Sunday.

Buffalo continued to use a rotation at wide receiver to open the 2026 campaign. While DJ Moore paced the group with 26 routes on Josh Allen's 32 dropbacks, Khalil Shakir (20), Coleman (19) and Joshua Palmer (13) fell in line behind him. Between Coleman and Palmer, it was the latter who had the big play, recording what proved to be the game-winning 34-yard touchdown catch with 1:37 left in the fourth quarter. Coleman was targeted on the subsequent failed two-point conversion, and he'll likely need an injury ahead of him to have any fantasy appeal.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Designated as starter on depth chart

Coleman (foot) is listed as one of three starting receivers on the Bills' unofficial depth chart for Sunday's season opener versus the Texans, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic reports.

While DJ Moore and Khalil Shakir are secure as Buffalo's top two wideouts, Coleman appears to be ahead of Joshua Palmer for the No. 3 spot. After averaging 9.8 yards per target as a rookie in 2024, Coleman dropped all the way down to 6.8 per game over 13 regular-season contests during his sophomore season and also drew the ire of the coaching staff for his lack of professionalism, leading to him being a healthy scratch on four occasions. Coleman received a clean slate entering 2026, and after a strong showing during minicamp, he continued to make a positive impression in training camp before spraining his right foot in an Aug. 18 preseason game. The injury doesn't appear to be a long-term concern, and if he can return to full practice at some point this week, Coleman could handle a notable role in the passing game in the season opener.

  • Bills' Keon Coleman: Not listed on Week 1 injury report

Coleman (foot) is not listed on the Bills' Week 1 injury report Wednesday.

Coleman was in a walking boot last month but returned to practice last week and is ready for Week 1 against the Texans. Listed as a starter on the unofficial depth chart, Coleman will be part of the rotation at wide receiver for Buffalo. He doesn't carry much redraft fantasy value and is a better best-ball selection in an offense that again has a lot of mouths to feed.
