Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Posts 70 yards as two WRs get hurt
Worthy caught four of seven targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Raiders.
Worthy finished second on the team in targets and receiving yards behind Tyquan Thornton, who caught five of eight targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns prior to suffering an ankle injury in the fourth quarter. Rashee Rice (hamstring) exited the game in the first quarter, so Worthy is the top healthy wide receiver for Kansas City, though Rice will have a chance to heal during the Week 5 bye before the Chargers come to town in Week 6.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Minimal output in Week 3 win
Worthy caught both of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Dolphins.
Worthy entered Sunday's game on the heels of a 5-25-1 performance (on seven targets) during the Chiefs' Week 2 overtime win over the Colts. He didn't see any targets in the red zone Sunday compared to the three he had against Indianapolis, though he did lead all Chiefs wide receivers with 43 offensive snaps. His speed makes him a boom-or-bust candidate every week, though Worthy and the Chiefs pass catchers could thrive in a Week 4 road tilt against the Raiders if Las Vegas' rookie safety Treydan Stukes (concussion) is unable to play.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Five catches in Week 2 win
Worthy brought in five of seven targets for 25 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 33-30 overtime win over the Colts on Sunday night.
Worthy finished third in receptions and targets on the night for the Chiefs, but he was fifth in receiving yards and well behind fourth-place Kenneth Walker's 61 yards. However, Worthy was able to salvage his fantasy line against Indianapolis with a one-yard touchdown reception late in the second quarter. The speedster saw Tyquan Thornton vulture some downfield targets Sunday night, and Worthy is now averaging a tiny 5.4 yards per catch over his first eight receptions of the new season. The 2024 first-round pick will look to break through downfield in a Week 3 road matchup against the Dolphins' vulnerable defense.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Opens season with three catches
Worthy secured three of six targets for 18 yards in the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos on Monday night.
Worthy was on the receiving end of Patrick Mahomes' first completion of the season, which went for nine yards and took the Chiefs down to the Broncos' 26-yard line on an opening drive that culminated in a 15-yard touchdown run by the returning signal-caller. Worthy produced modest gains on his other pair of grabs, but Mahomes recorded just five completions overall to wide receivers in the season-opening victory. Worthy boasts the potential for much better production, and he could have a good opportunity to deliver on that upside in a favorable Week 2 home matchup against the Colts on Sunday night.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: One target in preseason debut
Worthy (shoulder) failed to bring in his only target in the Chiefs' 9-9 preseason tie with the Seahawks on Friday.
The speedster made his preseason debut after overcoming a shoulder sprain that had plagued him for multiple weeks. Now apparently healthy, Worthy heads into his third season looking to build on the promise of his 2024 rookie campaign -- when he posted a 59-638-6 line across 17 regular-season games -- and atone for a lackluster 2025 season when he made just one trip to the end zone on 42 catches and missed three games.

Chiefs' Xavier Worthy: Partakes in 7-on-7 drills
Worthy (shoulder) participated in 7-on-7 drills Monday, Pete Sweeney of The Kansas City Star reports.
Though Worthy is not yet back to full-team drills, his participation in 7-on-7 is still a step in the right direction. Worthy did not play in the preseason opener, and it's unclear if he'll suit up for any of the upcoming exhibitions as he works his way back to 100 percent from a shoulder injury. Getting back into 11-on-11 work will be the next big step for Worthy's progression.
