  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Makes one catch in Week 17 win

Hodgins caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 34-10 win against Las Vegas.

Hodgins continued to see plenty of time on the field, with his 52 offensive snaps ranking second among New York wideouts behind Darius Slayton's 56 and ahead of Wan'Dale Robinson's 48. As usual, however, Robinson dominated looks from QB Jaxson Dart with an 11-113-0 receiving line on 14 targets, while no other pass catcher on the team had more than four targets. Hodgins seems to be the preferred choice for the Giants' No. 3 wideout role, but that hasn't led to much production of late, as he's logged a total of just three catches on five targets for 16 yards across his past four contests. It remains to be seen how interim head coach Mike Kafka will approach Week 18 versus the Cowboys given that New York is probably better off taking a loss to avoid slipping down the order for next year's NFL Draft, but regardless, Hodgins doesn't have any tangible fantasy floor for managers who still have a reason to set their lineups next week.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: No targets vs. Minnesota

Hodgins played 15 of the Giants' 48 offensive snaps but wasn't targeted during Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Vikings.

Despite playing the third-most snaps among Giants wideouts during Sunday's loss, the 27-year-old wasn't targeted. Hodgins' role on the Giants' offense appears to have diminished over the past three games, as he's caught two of three targets for just eight yards during that span. He's expected to carry minimal fantasy value in the Week 17 matchup against the Raiders.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Held to one catch again

Hodgins recorded one reception for four yards on two targets in Sunday's 29-21 loss to Washington.

Though Hodgins saw the third-most targets (two) among New York wideouts, he finished well behind Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton, who logged 10 targets apiece. That lack of attention for Hodgins happened despite the fact he played as many offensive snaps (59) as Slayton and wasn't far behind Robinson (67). No other Giants wide receiver caught a pass or played more than four offensive snaps Sunday, so Hodgins appears pretty secure in the No. 3 WR role. However, after catching seven passes for 99 yards and a TD over the first two games following his reunion with New York, he's caught exactly one pass for four yards in each of the team's past two contests.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Records one catch in Week 13 loss

Hodgins brought in his only target for four yards Monday in a loss to New England.

New York QB Jaxson Dart threw for only 139 yards in a game the Giants trailed by 23 points at the half, and no pass catcher on the team registered more than 41 receiving yards. Still, this was a very quiet game for Hodgins after he posted a 7-99-1 line across his first two contests since re-joining New York off Pittsburgh's practice squad in mid-November. Hodgins worked as the Giants' No. 3 wideout -- only two other WRs on the team (Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson) drew a target Monday -- and he figures to continue in that role following the club's Week 14 bye.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Secures TD in loss to Detroit

Hodgins caught two of six targets for 42 yards and one touchdown in the Giants' 34-27 overtime loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Hodgins' six targets were a distant second on the team behind Wan'Dale Robinson's 14 looks from Jameis Winston. Hodgins, however, did find the end zone from 12 yards out in the second quarter to give the Giants a 17-7 lead. Hodgins has drawn six targets in back-to-back games since signing with the team off the Steelers' practice squad. He appears to be locked into three-wide sets alongside Robinson and Darius Slayton, as the Giants seem to again be moving away from Jalin Hyatt.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Paces Giants in receiving yards

Hodgins hauled in five of six targets for 57 yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Packers.

Hodgins made his season debut in familiar territory after spending most of the season on the Steelers' practice squad, from which the Giants signed him off of Thursday. He thus had little time to get up to speed with fill-in QB Jameis Winston, but Hodgins still paced the team in catches and receiving yards while ranking behind only WR Wan'Dale Robinson's (4-36-0 line) nine targets. Hodgins' previous experience with interim head coach Mike Kafka in New York from 2022 through 2024 clearly aided his cause as he helped cover for the absent Darius Slayton (hamstring). Slayton didn't practice during Week 11 prep, so Hodgins may have some viability in the short term if the former remains sidelined next Sunday at Detroit.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: May have role in return to Giants

Hodgins may play a large role in the Giants' passing game Sunday against the Packers due to Darius Slayton (hamstring) being ruled out for the contest, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Hodgins hasn't been active once this season while mostly residing on the Steelers' practice squad, but the Giants signed him to their active roster Thursday in the wake of significant injuries in their receiving corps. Hodgins has plenty of experience working with interim head coach Mike Kafka, as he was the offensive coordinator calling the plays after the wideout joined the team at the midpoint of the 2022 campaign. In 28 games with New York over the previous three seasons, Hodgins hauled in 56 of 77 passes for 593 yards and seven touchdowns. He also plays primarily out wide, making him a decent plug and play for Slayton in addition to his previous experience with Kafka.

  • Giants' Isaiah Hodgins: Poached by Giants

New York signed Hodgins to the 53-man roster from the Steelers' practice squad Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Hodgins will provide depth for New York at wide receiver in the wake of the team having seen Lil'Jordan Humphrey poached from their practice squad by Denver. Hodgins spent time with the 49ers in training camp and has resided on Pittsburgh's practice squad for most of the regular season, but his last game action came across three appearances with the Giants in 2024.

  • Isaiah Hodgins: Catches on with Steelers

The Steelers signed Hodgins to the practice squad Tuesday, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Hodgins failed to make the 49ers' 53-man roster at the end of training camp, but he'll get a new opportunity in Pittsburgh. He would be a top candidate to be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster if any member of the Steelers' wide receiver corps were to miss time due to injury, illness or suspension.

  • Isaiah Hodgins: Cut by 49ers

The 49ers released Hodgins on Tuesday.

Hodgins was a productive player with the Giants between the 2022 and 2023 seasons, tallying 54 catches for 581 yards and seven touchdowns. However, he fell out of favor in 2024 and spent most of the season on the practice squad. Hodgins may be headed toward a similar fate in 2025.

  • 49ers' Isaiah Hodgins: Joins SF on reserve/future deal

San Francisco signed Hodgins to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.

Hodgins was a sixth-round draft selection by the Bills in 2020. He had a mild breakthrough after joining the Giants midway through the 2022 campaign, recording 33 catches for 351 yards and four touchdowns over eight games. However, Hodgins had since fallen out of favor in New York and spent much of 2024 on the team's practice squad. The 49ers have signed two other veteran wideouts -- Trent Taylor and Russell Gage -- to reserve/future deals following the conclusion of the regular season, and the trio will be given the opportunity to compete for roster spots during training camp next summer.
