Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Ruled out for Week 17
St-Juste (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Texans.
St-Juste missed the entire week of practice after suffering a shoulder injury in the team's Week 16 win over the Cowboys, and he'll now be sidelined for at least one game with the injury. With St-Juste sidelined, Deane Leonard will likely step into a more significant role at cornerback versus Houston.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Misses second straight practice
St-Juste (shoulder) was a non-participant in practice both Tuesday and Wednesday.
St-Juste wasn't listed on an initial injury report shared by the Chargers on Tuesday, but he was added as DNP to one released later in the day. With another DNP designation Wednesday, it appears the veteran cornerback has a significant chance of missing Saturday's matchup against Houston. St-Juste will likely need to return to practice in some capacity Thursday to have a real chance of playing against the Texans.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Seemingly past shoulder issue
St-Juste (shoulder) is not listed on the Chargers' practice report Tuesday.
St-Juste missed the end of Sunday's win over Dallas after hurting his shoulder. Coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that the veteran cornerback was considered day-to-day, but with no designation on the team's first practice report of the week, it appears St-Juste isn't dealing with a significant injury. He should be good to go for Saturday's battle against the Texans.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Day-to-day
Coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that St-Juste (shoulder) is considered day-to-day, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Both St-Juste and Donte Jackson (groin) were injured in Sunday's win over the Cowboys, but both appear to have avoided major injuries. Deane Leonard and Nikko Reed would be in line for elevated snaps if neither St-Juste nor Jackson can play Saturday against the Texans.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Nursing shoulder injury
St-Juste sustained a shoulder injury during the Chargers' 34-17 win over the Cowboys on Sunday.
St-Juste was unable to return to the game due to his shoulder injury, and his status for the Chargers' Week 17 tilt against the Texans on Saturday may not be known until later in the week. He tallied six tackles (three solo) before leaving Sunday's contest.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Set for SNF
St-Juste (groin) is active for Sunday night's contest against the Steelers.
St-Juste was dealing with a groin injury at practice ahead of Week 10, but he'll ultimately be able to give it a go versus Pittsburgh. The 28-year-old will operate in his typical role as a top depth option behind Donte Jackson and Cam Hart at cornerback.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Dealing with groin injury
St-Juste (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
St-Juste popped up on Thursday's injury report due to a groin injury, which limited his practice reps during the final two days of Week 10 prep. His status for Sunday's game may not be officially known until the Chargers announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. Nikko Reed would be in line for a larger role in the secondary if St-Juste is not cleared to play.

Chargers' Benjamin St-Juste: Bolting to Los Angeles
St-Juste agreed to terms on a contract with the Chargers on Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
St-Juste managed to accrue a season-high 71 combined tackles across 17 regular-season games in 2024 with the Commanders. However, he lost his hold on the starting outside corner job following Washington's Week 14 bye due to his struggles in coverage, and he didn't play more than 10 defensive snaps in each of the Commanders' three playoff games. A fresh start with the Chargers could help St-Juste reinvigorate his game, though he's projected to serve in a reserve role at outside corner behind Donte Jackson and Tarheeb Still.

Commanders' Benjamin St-Juste: Headed for free agency
St-Juste logged a career-high 71 tackles (56 solo), seven passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season appearances with the Commanders in 2024.
St-Juste held onto a starting role for the majority of the regular season despite struggling in coverage, though by Washington's bye in Week 14 he was relegated to a depth role. The 27-year-old is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and his odds of gaining a starting opportunity elsewhere in the league appear slim.
