Andrew Peasley: Doesn't make 53-man roster
Peasley was waived by the Jets on Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
New York has veterans Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor as its top two options at quarterback, and Peasley competed with Adrian Martinez for the No. 3 QB role during the preseason. Neither made the 53-man roster, but at least one of the two signal-callers is likely to end up on the practice squad. Peasley completed 20 of 33 pass attempts for 181 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions during three preseason games while adding 24 yards on seven rushes.
