Commanders' Dax Milne: No catches since November
Milne finished the 2022 season with six catches for 37 yards, 40 punt returns for 311 yards and 15 kickoff returns for 300 yards.
The 2021 seventh-round pick had a long return of 19 yards for punts and 33 yards for kickoffs, but the Commanders might be okay with the lack of explosiveness given that he didn't muff a punt or lose a fumble all year. Milne nonetheless could face competition for the return job during Washington's offseason program, and he's unlikely to reach the top three of the depth chart on offense.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Ready for Sunday
Milne (foot) shed his injury designation and practiced in full Thursday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Milne hasn't played since Week 11 against the Texans and was unable to practice leading up to the team's Week 14 bye. After logging a limited practice Wednesday, the 23-year-old has proven himself healthy and should be good to go Sunday against the Giants.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Gets on field Wednesday
Milne (foot) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Milne has sat out each of the team's last two games proceeding their Week 14 bye. His return to practice should be good for his prospects of suiting up Sunday against the Giants. However, he is still considered questionable heading into Week 15.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Sidelined again for Week 13
Milne (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Milne is now in line to miss his second consecutive contest as a result of the foot injury he sustained in Week 11 versus Houston. In the 23-year-old's absence, Antonio Gibson (foot) appears like the top candidate to return kickoffs, while Jahan Dotson is slated to handle punt returns this weekend in New York.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Still not practicing
Milne (foot) didn't practice Wednesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Milne missed his first game of the season in Week 12 with a foot injury and remains sidelined to start Week 13 prep due to the issue. The second-year wideout will have two more opportunities to practice before the team needs to make a decision on his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Giants.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Won't suit up Sunday
Milne (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Milne is slated to miss his first contest of the 2022-23 campaign as a result of a foot injury. Though the 23-year-old's offensive opportunities have been limited this season, he's seen work as a returner on both kickoffs and punts across Washington's first 11 weeks. In his absence, Antonio Gibson is likely the next man up to handle kick returns, while Jahan Dotson is expected to operate as the team's primary punt returner in Sunday's matchup versus Atlanta.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Scores first NFL TD
Milne scored a six-yard touchdown on his lone target in Sunday' 20-17 loss to Minnesota.
The 2021 seventh-round pick had exactly one catch and one target for a fourth straight game, adding five punt returns for 41 yards in this one. Milne played only 10 snaps on offense, which was actually his second most this season, essentially making him the No. 5 receiver in playing time (with the possibility of dropping to No. 6 once Jahan Dotson comes back from his hamstring injury).

Commanders' Dax Milne: Targeted once again
Milne caught his lone target for a four-yard gain in Sunday's 17-16 win over Indianapolis, playing 15 percent of snaps on offense.
Milne caught exactly one pass for either four or five yards for a third straight week. He's been the No. 4 receiver with both Jahan Dotson (hamstring) and Dyami Brown (groin) injured, but lightly targeted Cam Sims is getting far more playing time. Milne has also been quiet on special teams, with a long kick return of 33 yards and a long punt return of 19.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Catches one pass
Milne caught his lone target for a six-yard gain in Sunday's loss to Detroit, taking six kick returns for 128 yards and three punt returns for 33 yards.
Milne has two targets on eight offensive snaps through the first two weeks of the season, with his fantasy value strictly limited to return-yardage leagues. He hasn't broken a long one yet, but he did have a couple nice returns in Sunday's loss and now has 227 total return yards through two weeks.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Looks good again
Milne caught each of his four targets for 37 yards in a preseason loss to the Chiefs on Saturday.
Milne caught two of three targets for 30 yards the week before, perhaps gaining ground on Dyami Brown, among others, in a competition for the fourth and fifth WR spots. Brown has draft capital working in his favor but hasn't done much this preseason, while Cam Sims would be the experienced option. Milne and Alex Erickson have the most yards this preseason, so it's a battle that could continue through the third and final exhibition.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Active for training camp
Milne (foot) participated in Friday's practice session, Bryan Manning of USA Today reports.
Milne was in a protective walking boot at minicamp in mid-June but was catching passes at training camp Friday. The 23-year-old will presumably need to compete for a spot on the Commanders' 53-man roster ahead of the regular season.

Commanders' Dax Milne: Managing injury
Milne is wearing a protective walking boot on his right foot at minicamp this week, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
It's unclear when exactly Milne suffered the injury, but he's unable to fully take part during minicamp. The 22-year-old appeared in 13 games as a rookie last year and had nine catches for 83 yards and one carry for one yard.
