  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Deemed limited again Thursday

Flott (knee) was estimated as a limited practice participant Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

New York didn't hold an actual practice Thursday, but this is nonetheless the second straight day Flott has been listed as a limited practice participant. The fourth-year cornerback hurt his knee Sunday against the Vikings and wasn't able to finish the game. His status for Sunday's game against Las Vegas is looking iffy, and either Deonte Banks -- who is dealing with a shoulder injury of his own -- or Korie Black would likely step in to start if Flott is ultimately ruled out.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Limited by knee injury

Flott (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott was unable to return to the Giants' Week 16 loss to the Vikings after sustaining a knee injury in the third quarter. His ability to log a limited practice to open the week indicates that the injury isn't considered a long-term concern, and he would avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders if he were to practice fully by Friday.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Questionable to return

Flott (knee) is questionable to return in Sunday's game against Minnesota, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott sustained a knee injury in the third quarter and will be evaluated by medical staff to determine if he can return. The 24-year-old had one pass breakup before exiting. Deonte Banks could see more reps if Flott is unable to return.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: No longer dealing with concussion

Flott has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott suffered a concussion in Week 8 versus Philadelphia and didn't play this past Sunday versus San Francisco. However, he logged a full practice Thursday following Wednesday's limited session and is now officially through concussion protocol. Flott should thus be able to return to action Sunday against Chicago.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Logs full practice

Flott (concussion) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott is still awaiting official clearance from the concussion protocol, but practicing in full represents a significant step in the right direction. If he gains full clearance, including from an independent neurologist, Flott will handle his usual starting role at cornerback during Sunday's road matchup against the Bears.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Back at practice Wednesday

Flott (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott was held out of practice during Week 9 prep due to a concussion he sustained in Week 8 against the Eagles. He was cleared to return to practice Wednesday as a non-contact participant, an indication that he is progressing through the league's five-step concussion protocol. Flott will need to pass an evaluation from an independent neurologist in order to be cleared to play Sunday against the Bears.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Ruled out for Week 9

Flott (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.

With Flott joining Paulson Adebo (knee) on the sidelines this week, Korie Black should once again see increased playing time at cornerback alongside Deonte Banks and Dru Phillips.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Unable to practice Wednesday

Flott (concussion) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott sustained a concussion during Sunday's game at Philadelphia, and now he's sitting out practice as the Giants begin preparations for Week 9. He'll probably need to get back to practice Thursday or Friday to have a chance to suit up Sunday versus the 49ers.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Enters concussion protocol

Flott (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Flott went to the locker room late in the first half after taking a hit to the head, and he has entered the league's concussion protocol after being evaluated by medical staff. Deonte Banks and Korie Black will serve as the Giants' outside corners the rest of the way.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Possible concussion

Flott is being evaluated for a possible concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Eagles, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Flott took a hit to the head late in the second quarter, and he'll be evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's game. With Paulson Adebo (knee) inactive, Deonte Banks and Korie Black will see extended work at outside corner for as long as Flott is sidelined.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Plays in preseason win

Flott (undisclosed) recorded a pass deflection during the Giants' preseason win over the Jets on Saturday.

Flott had missed some time in practice with an undisclosed injury but is now healthy again. He is competing with Deonte Banks to serve as one of the team's starting outside cornerbacks opposite Paulson Adebo.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Doesn't practice Saturday

Flott did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice due to an undisclosed injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

The type and severity of Flott's injury isn't clear, but it has kept him out of practice for the past two days. Reps with the first-team defense are important for Flott, who is competing against Deonte Banks and Paulson Adebo for the starting outside corner job. Flott will look to get back on the practice field and be available for the Giants' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, Aug. 9.

  • Giants' Cor'Dale Flott: Competing for starting role

Flott and Deonte Banks are in a training camp battle for a starting cornerback spot, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

Flott (10 starts) and Banks (14 starts) both worked primarily as starters last year, but one will lose that role after the Giants brought in Paulson Adebo during the offseason to be their top corner. Flott (53 stops, seven defensed passes) and Banks (52 tackles, 12 pass defenses) put up similar numbers in 2024, though they had just one interception between them as New York's secondary as a whole struggled to collect turnovers. Per Duggan, Flott and Banks have been alternating turns in the rotation during camp, so it appears this will be a genuine position battle throughout the preseason.
