Texans' Woody Marks: Handles 20 touches
Marks rushed the ball 19 times for 71 yards in Saturday's 20-16 win over the Chargers. He added one reception on two targets for four yards.
Marks regained his typical role after a one-game absence caused by an ankle injury, accounting for 19 of the 28 carries by Houston's backfield. As has often been the case, he wasn't particularly efficient with his opportunity, turning in a long gain of 19 yards but also having five of his rush attempts go for zero or negative yardage. While it was an uninspiring performance, Marks did manage at least 75 yards from scrimmage for the second time in his last three full games.

Texans' Woody Marks: Participating in practice Tuesday
Marks (ankle) was spotted participating in Tuesday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Marks' participation level remains unclear, but the Texans will be required to release an official injury report Tuesday since they travel to play the Chargers on Saturday. Marks was injured in the Texans' Week 15 win over the Colts and was inactive for this past Sunday's win over the Raiders. In his absence, Jawhar Jordan out-snapped Nick Chubb 30 to 21, with Jordan rushing 15 times for 53 yards and adding five catches for 17 yards on five targets. Jordan would likely be in line to lead the backfield if Marks doesn't return in Week 17.

Texans' Woody Marks: In clear for Week 17
Marks (ankle) was listed as a full participant for Tuesday's practice.
Marks' availability for this past Sunday's eventual 23-21 win over the Raiders appeared to come down to a game-time decision, but the Texans ultimately erred on the side of caution and held the rookie running back out for the first time all season. Nick Chubb (ribs) returned from a one-game absence of his own and gained 33 yards on six carries and nine yards on one reception, but it was Jawhar Jordan (15-53-0 rushing line, five catches for 17 yards on five targets) who saw the bulk of the work out of the backfield. Both Chubb and Jordan could have roles in the Week 17 game plan, but now that Marks is back practicing without limitations, expect him to serve as the Texans' lead option in Saturday's contest versus the Chargers.

Marks (ankle) remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders but appears likely to be inactive for the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Though Marks exited last week's win over the Cardinals and managed just one limited practice this week, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reported late Saturday that the rookie running back was planning on playing Sunday. Ultimately, Marks doesn't look like he'll be able to give it a go, with official confirmation on his status set to arrive when Houston posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. With Marks trending toward sitting out, Nick Chubb (ribs) -- who is also listed as questionable but appears on track to play -- is projected to lead the Houston backfield in carries. Jawhar Jordan is also expected to have an expanded role in the game plan after he accounted for 118 total yards on 17 touches in the Week 15 win over Arizona.

Marks (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Marks didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday but was able to return to a limited session Friday before heading into the weekend listed as questionable, a status that fellow RB Nick Chubb (ribs) also carried into the contest. With Marks sidelined and Chubb available versus Las Vegas, look for Chubb to lead Houston's backfield, while 5-foot-10, 186-pounder Jawhar Jordan -- who did well with added snaps in Week 15 when Chubb was inactive and Marks exited early -- is also in line for an expanded workload Sunday and Dare Ogunbowale is on hand to mix in. Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Marks had planned to play, but the Texans felt it was best to rest their top RB this week, with an eye toward having him available next weekend against the Chargers.

Marks, who is officially questionable for Sunday's Week 16 matchup against the Raiders due to an ankle injury, is planning to suit up, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Marks didn't finish last Sunday's win over Arizona after hurting his ankle early in the second quarter. He didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday this week but got in a limited session Friday to give himself a chance of playing Sunday. It sounds like Marks is going to try to take the field, though his final status probably won't be shared until the Texans release their list of inactives about 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Marks missed the second half of Sunday's 40-20 win over Arizona after tweaking a pre-existing ankle injury in the first half. Texans coach Demeco Ryans downplayed the injury afterward, even suggesting that Marks could've returned if the game had been closer.
