Driskel will join the Commanders' active roster to provide the team with a bit of quarterback depth ahead of Thursday's divisional matchup against the Cowboys. Jayden Daniels (elbow) is already ruled out for the year and Marcus Mariota (hand/quad) is considered day-to-day after having been forced out of Saturday's 29-18 loss to the Eagles, potentially leaving Josh Johnson to start in Week 17. Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Sunday that "it would be tough" for Lane (ankle) to be available for the Commanders' Christmas Day game against the Cowboys on Thursday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.

Commanders' Sam Cosmi: Confirmed to have concussion
Cosmi is in concussion protocol following Saturday's loss to Philadelphia, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Cosmi was pulled late in the fourth quarter Saturday and was evaluated for a concussion. With testing having confirmed that diagnosis, the veteran offensive lineman will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol before he can return to action. If Cosmi can't play Christmas Day against Dallas, Andrew Wylie or Nick Allegretti could start at right guard.
