Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Officially signs with Denver
Gordon signed a one-year, $2.5 million base deal with the Broncos on Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
The veteran running back has a chance to make up to $4 million with incentives, though it was previously reported that the contract could be worth up to $5 million. As the figures were clarified Thursday, it appears that the duo of Gordon and Javonte Williams are likely headed toward some sort of split in workload out of the backfield once again in 2022. Both backs found success in what was an inconsistent offense last season. The addition of Russell Wilson at quarterback could be the spark that both Gordon and Williams need to take their fantasy potential to the next level, even if they continue to share duties at a near-even split again.

Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Rejoins Denver on one-year deal
Gordon agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $5 million with the Broncos on Tuesday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
The 29-year-old will return to Denver for another year after rushing for 918 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games last season. He also caught 28 passes for 213 yards and two more scores. Gordon should still be fairly involved in 2022 but figures to have a reduced role after splitting work with Javonte Williams last year -- Williams also received 203 carries during his rookie campaign. However, it remains to be seen exactly how their workloads shake out in 2022 with Russell Wilson now helming the offense.

Melvin Gordon: Talking to Ravens
Gordon and Baltimore are in discussions on a potential contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Gordon is coming off back-to-back efficient seasons in Denver, having exceeded 900 rushing yards with at least 4.5 YPC in both years. The soon-to-be 29-year-old could provide Baltimore with some reliability in the backfield, which stands out as a legitimate need. J.K. Dobbins (knee) and Gus Edwards (knee) are recovering from ACL tears, and coach John Harbaugh recently acknowledged the possibility that both could begin training camp on the PUP list. Adding Gordon to the roster would allow the Ravens not only to ease both Dobbins and Edwards along without much pressure, but it would also free up the team to focus on other positions of need in the 2022 NFL Draft.
