Dolphins' Charlie Heck: Depth signing for Dolphins
Miami signed Heck to a contract Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Heck, who previously spent time with the Texans and Buccaneers, projects to operate as a depth swing tackle for the Dolphins behind Patrick Paul and Austin Jackson (back). Heck's presence will help keep thing stable up front for new quarterback Malik Willis.

Buccaneers' Charlie Heck: Joining Tampa Bay
Heck has agreed to a one-year contract with the Buccaneers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
The offensive lineman was drafted in the fourth round by Houston in 2020, played out his rookie deal with the Texans and spent time with three different organizations -- Houston, Arizona and San Francisco -- between training camp and the conclusion of the 2024 regular season. Heck has 23 starts in 50 career NFL games, with 13 of them coming in 2021 with a rebuilding Houston team that finished 4-13.

Heck first popped up with this issue Tuesday when he missed practice. The timeline for his return is very murky, as the receovery timeline from this injury can take anywhere from several weeks to several months depending on its severity. The 2020 fourth-round pick out of North Carolina will remain in Houston after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Texans. Across his time in the NFL, Heck has appeared in 41 contests and made 21 starts (only three starts in 2023). With veteran George Fant leaving the Texans in free agency, Heck has a chance to start on the offensive line in 2024.
