  • Rams' Darrell Henderson: Impact as receiver in SB LVI win

Henderson rushed four times for seven yards and brought in three of five targets for 43 yards during the Rams' 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday.

Activated from injured reserve on Friday after last having played in Week 16, Henderson was still the clear complementary option to lead back Cam Akers in terms of rushing volume. However, the third-year back made an appreciable impact as a receiver, particularly on his catches of 25 and 15 yards in the second and third quarters, respectively. Henderson's knee should be back to full strength early in the offseason if it isn't already, and he and Akers could have quite the competition for the No. 1 running back job in training camp this coming summer.

  • Rams' Darrell Henderson: Removed from IR

The Rams activated Henderson (knee) from injured reserve Friday.

Coach Sean McVay hinted Monday that Henderson would be ready, with the running back coming up on seven weeks removed from suffering an MCL sprain Week 16 against Minnesota (Dec. 26). His standing in the backfield has changed quite a bit since earlier this season, but the Rams could nonetheless try to find him some touches in the Super Bowl, given that both Cam Akers and Sony Michel have struggled to find running room so far this postseason, producing 2.8 YPC and 3.3 YPC, respectively. Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports that McVay talked earlier this week of a potential three-man rotation at running back.

  • Rams' Darrell Henderson: Should return for Super Bowl

Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Henderson (knee) has a "good chance" to return for the Super Bowl against Cincinnati on Sunday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Henderson last played Week 16, when he suffered an MCL sprain in a win over the Vikings. The Rams got a late-season burst from backup RB Sony Michel and now have Cam Akers back in the lineup as well, but it's possible Henderson gets some touches this Sunday if his knee checks out in practice.

  • Rams' Darrell Henderson: Still on injured reserve

The Rams didn't activate Henderson (knee) from injured reserve in advance of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers.

Designated to return from IR on Jan. 21, Henderson has had two chances to return to the active roster -- also, the Rams' divisional-round win at Tampa Bay -- but he's not yet past the MCL sprain in his right knee that he suffered Week 16 at Minnesota. L.A. will continue to lean on Cam Akers and Sony Michel out of the backfield with a Super Bowl berth on the line.
