Falcons' Storm Norton: No go for Week 10
Norton (foot) is not traveling with the team to Berlin for Sunday's contest against the Colts, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official website reports.
Norton was unable to practice Thursday as he continues to work his way back from a foot injury, and he will now officially remain sidelined in Week 10. The team needs to activate him off injured reserve by Wednesday, or he'll be forced to sit out the rest of the season.

Falcons' Storm Norton: Not yet ready for 2025 debut
Norton (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 9 matchup versus the Patriots, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Norton underwent ankle surgery in late August and has been on injured reserve all season. He was designated to return Oct. 22 and logged two full practices to begin this week before being a non-participant Friday. The Falcons will need to activate him off IR by Nov. 12 or he'll be forced to miss the remainder of the campaign.

Norton (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.
Although Norton was designated to return from the injured reserve list Wednesday and practiced in full all week, he'll remain sidelined for Atlanta's Week 8 contest. Jack Nelson and Michael Jerrell will likely continue to operate as the Falcons' top reserve tackles until Norton is activated from IR.

Norton began the season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury that required surgery. He was initially deemed likely to miss six to eight weeks, so a return to practice this week sits within that timetable. Norton was placed on injured reserve last week and seems likely to miss more than the required four games to begin the regular season. He's recovering from surgery on the injured ankle. Norton's absence became more notable after the Falcons lost starting RT Kaleb McGary (leg) for the duration of the 2025 season. Veteran Elijah Wilkinson is expected to open the season at right tackle -- lefty Michael Penix's blind side -- for Atlanta, which represents a significant downgrade from McGary.

The Falcons placed Norton (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday with a designation to return, Terrin Waack, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.
Norton missed all three of the Falcons' preseason games due to an ankle injury, which was severe enough for him to require surgery this past Tuesday. Norton underwent surgery on his injured ankle Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Norton had been sidelined for the past few days and is now expected to be out for six to eight weeks following his procedure. He is expected to serve as one of the team's top backup tackles once healthy and could be a candidate to land on injured reserve following roster cutdowns.

Head coach Raheem Morris said Monday that he doesn't expect Norton (lower body) to return to practice ahead of Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Norton is working through a lower-body injury, which appears severe enough for him to miss all three of the Falcons' preseason games. It's unclear whether his absence in practices and preseason games puts him in jeopardy of missing out on a spot on Atlanta's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. Norton made one start across 17 regular-season games for the Falcons in 2024.

Falcons' Storm Norton: Expected to start Sunday
Norton is expected to start in the place of Kaleb McGary (knee) in Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The veteran offensive lineman has appeared in nine games for the Falcons this season, playing primarily as a backup tackle and on special teams. Norton is in line to make his first start since 2021 in Week 14, and goes against a Buccaneers' defensive line that ranks in the top half of the league in sacks this season (35.0).
