Washington passed his physical Monday and participated in practice, Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com reports.
It's an encouraging sign for Washington, who's returning from a foot injury and now finds himself in an intense competition for reps at safety behind Marcus Williams, Chuck Clark, and 2022 first-round pick Kyle Hamilton. Washington (foot) has landed on the Ravens' active/PUP list as the team enters training camp, Clifton Brown of the team's official website reports.
Washington broke his foot midway through the 2021 season and is apparently still recovering from the issue. He will need to be activated from the PUP list before he can return to practice. Washington (foot) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list and moved back to injured reserve Thursday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
Washington hasn't played since Week 11 against Chicago after breaking his foot. He was placed on IR on Nov. 27 and was expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. Washington (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports, as a result of a positive test, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
