Titans' Tyjae Spears: Good to go Sunday
Spears (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
While managing the ankle injury, Spears managed just one full practice this week and took a questionable tag into Sunday, but he looks like he'll be available to handle his usual No. 2 role behind Tony Pollard. Through Tennessee's first three games, Spears has carried 13 times for 58 yards (4.5 YPC) to go with four receptions for 41 yards on six targets.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: In line to play in Week 4
Spears (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Baltimore, is slated to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Spears was able to play through his ankle injury last Sunday at the Giants, and while he earned a 47 percent snap share, he mustered just three carries for five yards and wasn't targeted in the passing game. Fellow RB Tony Pollard handled the other 53 percent and turned his 21 touches into 96 yards from scrimmage. Considering Spears progressed from DNP on Wednesday to limited Thursday and full Friday, he appears set to serve in a similar role alongside Pollard on Sunday, assuming the former is active.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Questionable for Week 4
Spears (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Despite Spears upgrading to a full practice Friday, the Titans aren't yet ready to clear him for Sunday's contest. It would still be somewhat of a shock if he didn't play after coach Robert Saleh has said all week he's optimistic Spears can go versus Baltimore. The running back has minimal fantasy appeal in this Tennessee offense behind clear lead back Tony Pollard.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Looking good for Week 4
Head coach Robert Saleh said Friday that Spears (ankle) is trending in the right direction to play Sunday against the Ravens, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Spears got in a limited practice Thursday after being held out Wednesday, and while he "still has some hurdles to clear," according to Saleh, there's a good chance he's available Sunday. Spears has handled just 13 carries for 58 yards through three appearances this season, and he's caught four of six targets for an additional 41 yards.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Limited participant Thursday
Spears (ankle) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice.
In addition to being stuck behind Tony Pollard on the depth chart, Spears is also the less healthy of Tennessee's top two running backs, as Pollard returned to practice without limitations Thursday after both sat out Wednesday. Spears played through a questionable designation against the Giants in Week 3 but handled just three touches. Barring an upgrade to full participation Friday, Spears looks likely to remain questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Expected to practice Thursday
Spears (ankle) and Tony Pollard (foot) will both practice Thursday, per head coach Robert Saleh, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Tennessee's top two running backs both sat out Wednesday's practice, but Spears and Pollard are both expected to resume practicing Thursday. Spears' ankle injury also hindered his practice participation leading up to this past Sunday's loss against the Giants, during which Spears handled only three touches. The change-of-pace running back can typically be expected to garner a touch count in the high single digits, though that number could climb higher if Spears gets close to full health and Pollard's foot injury limits Tennessee's lead back Sunday in Baltimore.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Won't practice Wednesday
Spears (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports.
Coach Robert Saleh said there's no concern about Spears' availability for Sunday's game against Baltimore. Spears and Tony Pollard are dealing with ankle injuries and will be listed as DNP on Wednesday, but both are expected to be fine for Week 4. Spears rushed just three times for five yards last Sunday against the Giants and wasn't targeted in the passing game. Pollard handled 21 total opportunities, making Spears nothing more than a bench stash in fantasy.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Sees little action in Week 3 loss
Spears (ankle) turned three carries into five yards during the Titans' 12-7 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
The lack of offensive touches are likely due to an ankle injury that Spears aggravated during Sunday's loss. The fourth-year running back was cleared to return, but his carries were well behind backfield mate Tony Pollard (17), with Spears not seeing a target from Cam Ward. Spears' ankle issue is worth monitoring heading into Week 4 against the Ravens on Sunday, Oct. 4, as his absence would open up the door to playing time for rookie fifth-rounder Nicholas Singleton.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Iffy to return due to ankle
Spears (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Giants, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Heading into Sunday, Spears was listed as questionable with the same injury but was ultimately cleared to suit up. However, he appears to be dealing with an aggravation of the injury that now muddles his availability for the remainder of the contest. Spears carried twice for five yards and didn't draw a target prior to his departure.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Active Sunday
Spears (ankle) is listed as active Sunday at the Giants, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The Titans backfield hosted two injuries this week, and while Tony Pollard (ankle) got back to a full practice Friday, Spears logged only one limited session (also Friday) and ended up listed as questionable for Week 3 action. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported Sunday morning that Tennessee were set to monitor Spears pregame, with rainy and windy conditions likely to play a role in whether or not to make the running back active. Now that Spears is available to the offense, it's unclear if he'll merely be available in case of emergency, with Pollard and potentially rookie fifth-rounder Nicholas Singleton handling most of the RB reps.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Uncertain about active status
Spears (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, will be monitored pregame, but the Titans are hopeful he'll be able to play, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Spears managed just one limited session (Friday) this week due to an ankle injury that left him questionable for Sunday, but rainy and windy conditions at MetLife Stadium seemingly will be a factor in the decision surrounding the running back. If Spears is inhibited or sidelined, Tony Pollard would serve as the Titans' unquestioned lead runner, with rookie fifth-rounder Nicholas Singleton likely stepping into the No. 2 role.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Listed questionable for Sunday
Spears (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports.
Spears returned to practice Friday as a limited participant after sitting out the previous two days. Tony Pollard, meanwhile, upgraded to full participation at the end of the week and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game. Even if Spears ends up playing, he won't have much fantasy appeal when he's the less healthy of two RBs in a backfield that hasn't been productive so far. The Titans and Giants are schedule for an early kickoff Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Limited in Friday's practice
Spears (ankle) was listed as limited for Friday's practice, Terry McCormick of TitanInsider reports.
Spears didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but a return to limited participation at the end of the week suggests he has a shot to play this Sunday against Cleveland. Fellow Titans running back Tony Pollard (ankle) is upgrading to full participation Friday, so he appears ready to start and take most of the carries.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Absent from practice Thursday
Spears (ankle) wasn't seen on the field during the open portion of Thursday's practice, Turron Davenport of ESPN reports.
Fellow running back Tony Pollard (ankle) was back on the field Thursday, but Spears looks to be trending toward a second straight missed practice while he contends with a sore ankle. Spears' status for Sunday's game against the Giants will become clearer when Friday's injury report is released.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Recovering from sore ankle
Spears was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury.
The Titans' top two running backs are both managing sore ankles to begin Week 3 prep, as Tony Pollard was also sidelined for Wednesday's session. Head coach Robert Saleh didn't indicate that either back is at major risk of sitting out Sunday's game against the Giants, but Spears will nonetheless need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday to avoid taking an injury designation into the weekend.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Sitting out practice Wednesday
Titans head coach Robert Saleh said that Spears won't practice Wednesday due to unspecified soreness, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Tony Pollard is also dealing with soreness and will sit out Wednesday's session, but Saleh didn't provide any further specifics about either running back's injury. Though Pollard sits atop the depth chart, Spears has seen a fair amount of work in a change-of-pace role. Through the Titans' first two games, Spears has logged 53 yards on 10 carries to go with four receptions for 41 yards on six targets.

Titans' Tyjae Spears: Logs 70 yards against Philadelphia
Spears turned seven carries into 41 yards and brought in both of his targets for 29 yards during the Titans' 24-20 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Spears was on the field for only 19 of the Titans' 53 offensive snaps (35.8 percent) and saw noticeably less playing time than lead back Tony Pollard (29 snaps). That said, Spears managed to accumulate 70 yards on nine touches, his most yards in a game since Week 16 of the 2025 season against the Chiefs (105). The fourth-year pro also helped the Titans take the lead late with a 27-yard carry on third-and-22, ultimately leading to a 33-yard field goal from Joey Slye four plays later. The Titans will hit the road for the first time this season Week 3 against the Giants.
