Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Sitting out season finale
Rotowire
Achane (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
As was expected after the Dolphins listed him as doubtful on their final injury report of the season, Achane will ultimately sit out Sunday while he nurses what's believed to be a minor shoulder injury. With Achane in street clothes, Miami will have Jaylen Wright, Ollie Gordon, Donovan Edwards and Jeff Wilson as its available running backs for Week 18. Achane will conclude his third NFL season with a career-high 1,350 rushing yards (5.7 per carry) to go with 67 catches for 488 yards and 12 total touchdowns over 16 games.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Officially listed as doubtful
Rotowire
Achane (shoulder) is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's season finale against the Patriots, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Achane has missed three consecutive practices due to a shoulder injury and will be considered a game-time decision for Week 18, per Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. With the Dolphins already eliminated from playoff contention, the team may opt to err on the side of caution with the health of Achane, who arguably is the club's top playmaker on offense. He hasn't yet missed a game in 2025, and across 16 regular-season appearances the undersized ball carrier leads Miami's offense with 1,838 yards from scrimmage, which is fifth most in the NFL. If Achane is inactive Sunday, Jaylen Wright likely will start out of the backfield while Ollie Gordon and new signee Donovan Edwards contribute in depth roles. Achane's status will be made official no later than 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: To be game-time decision
Rotowire
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Achane (shoulder) will not practice Friday and will be considered a game-time decision for Sunday's season finale against the Patriots, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
Achane is seemingly trending toward receiving an official 'questionable' tag with the release of Friday's injury report, though McDaniel noted that Miami typically holds players who are unable to close the practice week with any on-field reps out of game action, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are placing TE Darren Waller (groin) on IR on Friday, while WRJaylen Waddle (ribs) will practice in a limited capacity and be listed as questionable. With Miami already well out of playoff contention, the team could simply opt to take a cautious approach and preserve Achane's health. In that case, Jaylen Wright would stand to lead the team's backfield Week 18, while rookie Ollie Gordon would step into the No. 2 role, with newcomer Donovan Edwards also potentially available to mix in.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Misses another practice
Rotowire
Achane (shoulder) did not practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Achane is missing a second consecutive practice due to a shoulder injury, giving him just one more chance to handle on-field reps ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale against the Patriots. If the star playmaker is unable to suit up Week 18, Jaylen Wright will figure to lead Miami's backfield on the road against New England, while Ollie Gordon will also stand to inherit an increased role on offense.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: DNP due to shoulder injury
Rotowire
Achane missed Wednesday's practice with a shoulder injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
There was no clear sign of trouble during Sunday's 20-18 win over Tampa Bay, with Achane taking carries deep into the fourth quarter and ultimately finishing with 21 touches on a 74 percent snap share. He's up to 1,838 yards from scrimmage on the season, having yet to miss a game. Jaylen Wright has been Miami's No. 2 RB of late, ahead of Ollie Gordon.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Over 100 scrimmage yards in win
Rotowire
Achane rushed 18 times for 83 yards and brought in all three targets for 29 yards in the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Achane set the pace for the Dolphins' ground attack as usual and collected some solid gains against a stout Buccaneers run defense. The versatile back also made his customary contributions in the passing game, and Achane will look to put a stamp on what is already a career-best season in a Week 18 road matchup against the Patriots.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Long rushing TD in loss
Rotowire
Achane rushed 15 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for nine yards in the Dolphins' 45-21 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
The highlight of Achane's afternoon came on his 48-yard scoring scamper late in the first quarter, which served as his third-longest run of the season. Achane's touchdown was his eighth on the ground in 2025, with five of those coming within the last six contests. Achane also now has multiple catches in consecutive contests heading into a Week 17 home matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Efficient in two-way role Monday
Rotowire
Achane rushed 12 times for 60 yards and brought in all six targets for 67 yards in the Dolphins' 28-15 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
Achane led the Dolphins in both rushing and receiving yards on the night, with his pass-catching work taking center stage in the second half due to Miami's deficit. His rushing workload bumped up by five carries over Week 14 against the Jets, a contest that he left early due to a rib injury, and his receiving yardage total was his second highest of the season behind only his 92-yard effort Week 2 against the Patriots. Achane should remain virtually game-script-proof in a Week 16 home matchup against the Bengals on Sunday.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Clear of injury designation for MNF
Rotowire
Achane (ribs) does not have an injury designation for Monday's Week 15 game against Pittsburgh, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Miami coach Mike McDaniel said earlier Saturday that he expected Achane to play Monday, and the star running back's lack of an injury designation on the team's final practice report makes that expectation a reality. In fact, Achane was able to practice in full Saturday after being limited the previous two days, so he may not have any restrictions (aside from possibly wearing some extra padding to protect his ribs). Achane could be primed for a big game against a Steelers defense that has given up the ninth-most rushing yards to running backs through 13 games this season and will be without star player T.J. Watt (lung).

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Expected to play Monday
Rotowire
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Saturday that he expects Achane (ribs) to play against the Steelers on Monday, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
Achane was a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday while donning a red non-contact jersey in both sessions. Per Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post, Achane is testing out different forms of equipment to protect his ribs, and while Saturday's injury report has yet to come out, the expectation is that the third-year running back suits up for Monday night's game. If Achane is unable to play or operates on a snap count, then Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon would be in line for expanded roles out of the backfield.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Slated to be limited Thursday
Rotowire
Achane (ribs) will be limited at Thursday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Per Louis-Jacques, Achane will wear a red (non-contact) jersey during Thursday's session, with coach Mike McDaniel noting that "it'll be a gradual increase in activity and physicality" for the running back as the week progresses, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Achane has two more chances to upgrade to full participation before Miami assigns Week 15 game statuses Saturday. If Achane ends up limited or out Monday night against the Steelers, however, Jaylen Wright would be next in line for added backfield touches, with Ollie Gordon also mixing in.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Practice this week TBD
Rotowire
Achane (ribs) could be held out of some practice sessions this week, according to C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald.
Achane underwent an MRI after sustaining a rib injury in Sunday's victory over the Jets. Although it was determined the running back is not dealing with a serious setback, head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that Achane "needs treatment," which could affect his practice participation this week. Miami will face Pittsburgh on Monday night in Week 15, so while that will afford Achane more rest, it will also likely delay the next official update on the running back's status until Thursday.
Achane exited Sunday's game against the Jets with a rib injury.
Prior to leaving Sunday's contest, Achane carried seven times for 92 yards and a TD and caught his only target for 13 yards. In his absence, Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon are available to handle Miami's backfield duties.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Top DFS Play
Rotowire
We probably aren't getting 55 points like we did from this spot last week with Jahmyr Gibbs, but this is a blowup spot for De'Von Achane. The Dolphins are favorite at home against the Saints and you should expect 20-plus touches for Achane. He has 55 touches in his last two games, both wins. In full PPR he is my number one running back this week.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Standout performance in upset win
Rotowire
Achane rushed 22 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns and brought in all six targets for 51 yards in the Dolphins' 30-13 win over the Bills on Sunday.
Achane was a central figure in the Dolphins' jaw-dropping upset victory, spearheading the offense with 59- and 35-yard touchdown runs on his way to a season-high tally on the ground. The versatile third-year back also notched a second straight six-catch effort, and he's recorded at least 67 rushing yards in five consecutive contests after a season-low 16-yard effort versus the Panthers in Week 5. Achane remains a must-start option in all formats heading into the Week 11 matchup against the Commanders in Madrid next Sunday.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Contrarian DFS Play
Rotowire
Achane is on a huge underdog and he is $500 more than Dowdle with a similar projection. That should keep his roster rate low. But this Bills run defense is one of the worst in the league and Achane is also one of the top targets in the passing game for Miami each week. He had 19 touches for 91 yards against the Bills earlier this year and is always a threat to break a home run for a long touchdown. I like him better on sites that reward a full point for a catch, but he is in play as a contrarian play on FanDuel as well.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Over 100 total yards in loss
Rotowire
Achane rushed 14 times for 67 yards and secured six of 10 targets for 39 yards in the Dolphins' 28-6 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.
Achane gained exactly 67 rushing yards for the second straight game, although he was more efficient Thursday with an average of 4.8 yards per carry than he had been against the Falcons on Sunday (3.7 YPC). Achane was also once again heavily involved as a pass catcher, tying his third-highest reception total of the campaign. The versatile back continues to boast a safe floor irrespective of the inconsistencies of the Dolphins offense, and he'll be teed up for a favorable matchup in a Week 10 home matchup against the Bills on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Records receiving TD in win
Rotowire
Achane rushed 18 times for 67 yards and brought in five of seven targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 34-10 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Achane crossed the goal with a three-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter to cap off a marathon 13-play drive that absorbed over eight minutes of clock. The speedy running back was generally contained on the ground while recording a long run of just 12 yards, and he also saw rookie backfield mate Ollie Gordon log a career-high 10 carries. Nevertheless, Achane's workload on the ground qualified as his second highest of the season, and he now has at least Sunday's yardage tally in three straight games, his best stretch of the season. Achane and the Dolphins will aim to carry over the momentum from their unexpectedly successful performance into a Week 9 home matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Only bright spot in ugly loss
Rotowire
Achane rushed 13 times for 82 yards and brought in three of five targets for 16 yards in the Dolphins' 31-6 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
The Dolphins' point total and the fact Tua Tagovailoa managed only 100 passing yards while throwing three interceptions essentially tells the tale of the type of day it was for Miami's offense as a whole. Therefore, Achane's solid numbers served as the one bright spot for Mike McDaniel's squad, and the speedy running back gained well more than half his total on a 46-yard run late in the first quarter. Achane has rattled off 210 rushing yards and a pair of Week 6 rushing touchdowns on 29 carries over his last two games, but the Dolphins' reeling offensive unit faces an unenviable Week 8 road matchup against the Falcons next Sunday afternoon.

Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Breaks out as runner in loss
Rotowire
Achane rushed 16 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns while bringing in four of six targets for 22 yards in the Dolphins' 29-27 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Achane had been uncharacteristically bottled up by the Panthers in Week 5, but the electric back set an early tone Sunday with a 49-yard breakaway touchdown run with just over four minutes remaining in the first quarter. He'd go on to add a four-yard scoring scamper with just under eight minutes left in the contest, a score that narrowed a 26-13 deficit. Achane eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season with Sunday's production, and his carry total was his second highest through the first six contests. The third-year back should play a key role again during a Week 7 road clash against the tough Browns defense.
