Maason Smith ATL DT
Falcons' Maason Smith: Sent to Atlanta
3h agoThe Falcons acquired Smith from the Jaguars on Friday in exchange for Ruke Orhorhoro, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Both Smith and Orhorhoro were second-round picks in the 2024 Draft and will get changes of scenery. In two seasons with the Jaguars, Smith appeared in 24 regular-season contests and logged 32 tackles (14 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and four pass breakups.

Ruke Orhorhoro JAC DT
Jaguars' Ruke Orhorhoro: Flipped to Jacksonville
3h agoThe Jaguars acquired Orhorhoro from the Falcons on Friday in exchange for Maason Smith, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The two teams are swapping defensive tackles, both of whom were second-round picks in the 2024 Draft. After playing just 148 defensive snaps across eight regular-season appearances as a rookie, Orhorhoro appeared in all 17 regular-season games in 2025 and posted 25 tackles (12 solo), including 3.5 sacks, and one pass breakup. He'll go to a 4-3 defensive front in Jacksonville.

Jacoby Brissett ARI QB
Cardinals' Jacoby Brissett: Seeking raise to starter-level pay
6h agoBrissett isn't attending Phase 1 of Arizona's offseason program and is seeking an extension that will pay him commensurate with being a starting quarterback, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Brissett is scheduled to make $9.06 million in 2026 but has only $1.5 million in guaranteed money. The Cardinals appear willing to address Brissett's request, per Rapoport. Until a new deal is agreed upon, the 33-year-old quarterback will likely remain away from team activities. Brissett started the final 12 games of the 2025 season for the Cardinals and is expected to serve as the team's starting quarterback in 2026, though he posted an uninspiring 1-11 record as a starter last season.

Will Anderson Jr. HOU DE
Texans' Will Anderson: Signs three-year, $150M extension
7h agoAnderson agreed to a three-year, $150 million extension with the Texans on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Anderson's extension includes $134 million in guaranteed money and gives him the highest salary in NFL history for a non-quarterback. This contract also includes a no-trade clause. The 2023 first-round pick has been among the most dominant defenders in the NFL since entering the league, generating 30.0 sacks through three regular seasons.

Quentin Johnston LAC WR
Chargers' Quentin Johnston: GM shuts down trade rumors
10h agoChargers general manager Joe Hortiz said Thursday that Johnston isn't on the trade block, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
"There's a lot of rumors out there on Twitter," Hortiz said. "And I can tell you this, I have made zero calls about Quentin, and I've had zero calls regarding Quentin." Johnston is heading into the fourth year of his rookie contract, and the Chargers have until May 1 to decide whether to pick up the 2023 first-round pick's $18.1 million fifth-year option for 2027. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver has recorded eight touchdown catches in each of the last two regular seasons, but Johnston has struggled with drops throughout his NFL career.

Nicholas Singleton 2005 RB
Nicholas Singleton: Healthy ahead of NFL Draft
1d agoSingleton (foot) has been medically cleared and has resumed running, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Singleton suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot while attending the Senior Bowl in late January, but he is now back to full health ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. The running back figures to be a mid-round selection in the three-day event beginning next Thursday in Pittsburgh. Singleton finished off a record-setting four-year career at Penn State in 2025, racking up 549 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 123 carries while also reeling in 24 of 34 targets for 219 yards and a score over 12 contests in his final campaign.

Kirby Yates LAA RP
Angels' Kirby Yates: Starting rehab assignment Friday
19m agoYates (knee) will embark on a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Friday.
Yates opened the regular season on the 15-day injured list due to left knee inflammation. He has progressed enough in his rehab to start a rehab assignment and may need just a couple of outings, given that he is not dealing with an arm issue. Yates could be in the mix for saves upon his return, especially given the recent struggles of Jordan Romano.

Lourdes Gurriel ARI LF
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Returning Saturday
25m agoGurriel (knee) is expected to return from the injured list Saturday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
After undergoing surgery in September to repair an ACL tear in his right knee, Gurriel began playing in rehab games at Triple-A Reno on Wednesday and has already been given the green light to make his MLB season debut. He will presumably take over as Arizona's primary left fielder, pushing Jorge Barrosa into a bench role.
-
Cody Ponce TOR RP
Blue Jays' Cody Ponce: Successfully undergoes surgery
35m agoPonce underwent surgery Friday to repair the ACL in his right knee, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Ponce sprained his right ACL in late March, which was a severe enough injury to require season-ending surgery, but he should be available for the start of spring training. He signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Blue Jays in December after spending three seasons in Japan. Ponce's start against the Rockies on March 30 -- when he suffered his injury -- was his first appearance in an MLB game since 2021, when he played with the Pirates.

Seiya Suzuki CHC RF
Cubs' Seiya Suzuki: Collects two hits in win
40m agoSuzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 12-4 win over the Mets.
This was Suzuki's fifth straight start, so it looks like any playing time restrictions for him after returning from a knee injury have been lifted. He's still seeking his first home run after going deep 32 times in the regular season last year, but the outfielder is batting a solid .286 and the power should begin to come. Suzuki remains a strong fantasy option who figures to deliver plenty of homers and RBI as the season progresses.
-
Trey Yesavage TOR SP
Blue Jays' Trey Yesavage: Slated for rehab start Tuesday
41m agoYesavage (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Per Mitch, Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Friday that there was some uncertainty as to whether Yesavage will join the team next week in Los Angeles. It looks like the 22-year-old right-hander will get at least one more start in the minors, and Patrick Corbin's strong start Thursday against the Brewers may have factored into that decision. Assuming Yesavage doesn't suffer any setbacks in his next rehab start, he could rejoin the Blue Jays for the opener of their home series against the Red Sox that begins Monday, April 27. In Yesavage's last rehab start with Buffalo on Wednesday, he allowed three runs on seven hits (including two homers) and one walk while striking out five across 4.1 innings.
-
Ian Happ CHC LF
Cubs' Ian Happ: Launches fifth home run Friday
1h agoHapp went 1-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Friday's 12-4 win over the Mets.
Happ was one of three Chicago hitters to go deep in the easy win, as he launched his fifth home run of the season in the eighth inning. The veteran outfielder is batting just .214, but his .799 OPS is actually nine points higher than his career mark, so he's still finding ways to produce offensively. After missing a few games recently with a bruised heel, Happ looks fully healthy, and he should remain a lineup staple for the Cubs moving forward.
-
Jaxson Hayes LAL C
Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Not listed on injury report
7m agoHayes (foot) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the Rockets.
Hayes missed L.A.'s final four regular-season games, but he'll return to the floor Saturday. With Hayes back in the mix, Maxi Kleber could drop from the rotation entirely.
-
Amen Thompson HOU SG
Rockets' Amen Thompson: Omitted from injury report
8m agoThompson (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Lakers.
Thompson sat out Houston's regular-season finale but is set to return for the start of the playoffs. The third-year guard averaged 23.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.2 steals in 38.5 minutes per game across six regular-season appearances in April.
-
Jabari Smith HOU PF
Rockets' Jabari Smith: Not listed on injury report
9m agoSmith (rest) is not on the injury report for Game 1 on Saturday against the Lakers.
Smith skipped Houston's regular-season finale for rest purposes, but he'll be back in action when the postseason begins. Smith put in averages of 15.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.3 triples per game this season.
-
Alperen Sengun HOU C
Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Fades injury report
10m agoSengun (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Lakers.
Sengun took a seat for Houston's regular-season finale but is set to return to action for the start of the playoffs. Over six regular-season appearances in April, the star big man averaged 18.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists across 30.7 minutes per contest.
-
Kevin Durant HOU PF
Rockets' Kevin Durant: Questionable for Game 1
11m agoDurant is questionable for Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the Lakers due to a right knee contusion.
Durant is dealing with a bruise on his right knee, but we'll have a better idea on his playing status based on his activity level at shootaround. Check back for another update closer to Saturday's tipoff.
-
Tim Hardaway Jr. DEN SG
Nuggets' Tim Hardaway: Not listed on report for Saturday
1h agoHardaway (knee) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 against the Timberwolves.
Hardaway missed Denver's regular-season finale due to left knee soreness but will return to action Saturday. The veteran swingman averaged 10.7 points, 2.5 three-pointers, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.2 minutes per contest over his final 10 regular-season appearances (one start).
-
Ty Mueller VAN C
Canucks' Ty Mueller: Heads to AHL
3h agoMueller was reassigned to AHL Abbotsford on Friday.
Mueller's move is likely a paper transaction because Vancouver and Abbotsford have both completed the regular season and failed to make the playoffs. The 23-year-old has finished 2025-26 with a goal in six outings with Vancouver as well as 16 goals and 35 points in 59 appearances with Abbotsford.
-
Kirill Kudryavtsev VAN D
Canucks' Kirill Kudryavtsev: Reassigned to minors
3h agoKudryavtsev was sent to AHL Abbotsford on Friday.
Kudryavtsev had two assists in three outings with Vancouver as well as two goals and 18 points in 42 appearances with Abbotsford during the 2025-26 regular season. Abbotsford and Vancouver both failed to make the playoffs, so Kudryavtsev will presumably shift his focus towards getting ready for next season.
-
Leevi Merilainen OTT G
Senators' Leevi Merilainen: Up from minors
3h agoMerilainen was called up by Ottawa on Friday.
Merilainen had an 8-10-1 record, 3.51 GAA and .860 save percentage in 20 appearances with Ottawa during the 2025-26 regular season. He's joining Ottawa as the squad's No. 3 goaltender going into its first-round series against Carolina. Merilainen shouldn't be expected to man the net in a 2026 playoff game for the Senators unless Linus Ullmark and James Reimer run into injury problems.
-
Tristan Luneau ANA D
Ducks' Tristan Luneau: Sent to AHL
4h agoLuneau was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Friday.
Luneau joined the Ducks for their season finale Thursday, and he scored a goal on two shots en route to a 5-4 victory over Nashville. The 22-year-old defenseman also recorded 10 goals and 41 points in 69 appearances with San Diego during the 2025-26 regular season.
-
William Karlsson LV C
Golden Knights' William Karlsson: Not close to returning
4h agoKarlsson (lower body) isn't expected to participate in the 2026 postseason unless Vegas manages a long playoff run, general manager Kelly McCrimmon said Friday, per Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Karlsson hasn't been explicitly ruled out for the first round, but based on that outlook, it sounds like he shouldn't be expected to play in the opening series. Vegas is set to begin its playoff run against Utah with Game 1 scheduled for Sunday. Karlsson had four goals and seven points in 14 regular-season outings in 2025-26.
-
Jared McCann SEA C
Kraken's Jared McCann: Undergoes lower-body procedure
4h agoMcCann underwent a procedure Thursday for his lower-body injury, per Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network.
McCann missed the final three games of the regular season due to the injury, and he completed 2025-26 with 20 goals and 40 points in 52 outings. The 29-year-old expects to be available for the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
