Bernard will miss a second consecutive game due to the pec strain he sustained in the Bills' Week 2 win over the Dolphins. Despite the Bills' decision to rule Bernard out early in the week, McDermott said that the linebacker is improving in his recovery and isn't expected to require a stint on injured reserve, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. Bernard exited Thursday's win over the Dolphins early after suffering the injury and is still not ready to return and it could be a while before he's ready to do so.
