    Analysis

    Vancouver will unveil their new look line-up for the 1st time on Sunday; gone is all world D-man Quinn Hughes replaced by Zeev Buium and Marco Rossi. Long term it takes time without a lynch pin on the back end but short term I believe in a bump. NJ meanwhile plays their 3rd game in 4 days, 4th in 6 before heading out to Vegas to start a west coast trip. Devils will also most turn to Jacob Markstrom on the 2nd game of a back to back and he's struggled mightily in the crease all year. This is just too big a price for me as my number is more in the -114 range once every variable is factored into the mix.

    Analysis

    Can't say I love this as the Devils have some injuries, but the Canucks got significantly worse when they traded All-Star defenseman Quinn Hughes to Minnesota. I don't get that at all but maybe wasn't gonna re-up. Almost feels like a punt year now. Whatever is Canadian for punt (rouge?). Where did Hughes want to go? New Jersey to play with his brothers. Alas, Jack is still out. Maybe the best remining player the Nucks have in Elias Pettersson will not play due to injury. This should at worst push but so should Kings have on Saturday.     Analysis

    Hunter Henry has been a very reliable target for Drake Maye this season. With that being said, this is a fairly large number for Henry in what I consider a difficult matchup. The Bills defense hasn’t performed well and has some major holes, however they cover the middle of field and opposing Tight Ends very well. Buffalo has surrendered the second fewest yards to the position.

    Analysis

    It's do-or-die for the Chiefs the rest of the way, and if they're going to win this one, it's going to take a big effort from the defense. The Chargers had just 3.9 yards per play in the win over the Eagles, a number that looks even worse once you take out the 60-yard catch and run by Kimani Vidal early. The Chiefs offense wasn't much better at 4.3 yards per play, and both defenses are playing well right now. While the Brazil game featured plenty of points in Week 1, the two Chiefs-Chargers matchups last year had 27 and 36 points. I see a similar game on tap this week.

    Analysis

    The Texans are coming off a huge win in Kansas City, and this is a clear letdown spot against a team they're supposed to dominate. NFC West rivals have beaten up the Cardinals, but Jacoby Brissett hasn't lost any of his other five starts by more than four points despite facing no teams with losing records. Houston's offense hasn't looked that good in recent weeks either, averaging about 20 points in their last four games. The lookahead was Texans -6.5, and they do not deserve this much inflation based on one week of results.
