More season reviews: ACC | Big Ten | AAC | Big 12Pac-12

The 2015 college football season is over, and for the 128 teams in the FBS, the focus has shifted to recruiting and the 2016 campaign.

Since there's not much time to take a deep dive back into the 2015 season, we're going to offer up Twitter-style recaps (140 characters max.) for each team in the Power Five conferences, plus the emerging AAC.

First up is the SEC. Though it produced the national champion for the eighth time in 10 years, the conference as a whole seemed to take a bit of a step back.

AlabamaMonster defense + Heisman Trophy winning RB = National Championship. The Saban dynasty is not dead, it is very much alive and well. RTR.

ArkansasAll offense, no defense for the Hogs in 2015. Crazy upsets at Ole Miss & LSU, losses to Miss St & Texas Tech. Must overhaul OL & RBs in 2016

AuburnFell way short of crazy high expectations as QB play disappointed. Muschamp bounced and Malzahn's now on the hot seat.

FloridaStarting QB took PEDs & the backup was bad. A great defense led to an SEC East crown but beat down in the bowl. Desperate for QB in 2016.

GeorgiaMost disappointing 10-3 season ever. Chubb got hurt, backup QB became the punter and Richt & staff got fired. Hope Kirby was the Smart hire.

KentuckyOptimism turned to sadness swiftly in Lexington. No bowl appearance again for the 'Cats, but hey, at least it's basketball season now.

LSULes almost got fired, Fournette almost ran himself to a Heisman. Both back for 2016. Need a QB, but loaded with talent for a run at the SEC.

Mississippi StateDak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak and Belk triumph. New year, new me for MSU in 2016 replacing Dak, De'Runnya & Co.

MissouriDefense was rock solid, offense was rock bottom. 5-7 finish after B2B East titles. Get well soon, Coach Pinkel. Hello, Coach Odom.

Ole MissOnly team to beat Bama & dominated the Sugar Bowl, still felt like the Rebels underachieved a bit. Will have 3 1st rd draft picks in April.

South CarolinaSomehow beat UNC, then everything fell apart. The HBC left in the only way he could, on his terms. Welcome to Columbia, Will Muschamp.

TennesseeShoulda, coulda, woulda beat Oklahoma and Florida and won the SEC East. Instead go 9-4. Ton of talent back for 2016, can they capitalize?

Texas A&MStart 2015 with 2 5-star QBs. End 2015 with both transferring. 2 straight years of disappointing finishes and Sumlin's seat is warming up.

VanderbiltThe defense improved to be a top 25 unit nationally. The offense, not so much. We'll see if the 'Dores can break on through in 2016.
