Bills' Jake Kumerow: Activated from COVID-19 list
Kumerow was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
Kumerow spent nine days on the list and missed Buffalo's Week 10 game against the Jets, but he'll be eligible to suit up Sunday against the Colts. Bills' Jake Kumerow: Placed on COVID-19 list
Kumerow was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
It's unclear if Kumerow tested positive or is a close contact, but he is now the fourth member of the Bills' offensive group to be placed on the COVID-19 list this week. The 6-foot-4 wideout hasn't caught a pass this season, so if he is unable to suit up Sunday, it shouldn't impact the Bills' offensive game plan.... See More ... See Less
Bills' Jake Kumerow: Completes climb up depth chart
Kumerow secured a spot on the Bills' initial 53-man roster released Tuesday, The Buffalo News reports.
The journeyman wideout out of Wisconsin-Whitewater had a fantastic summer and leapfrogged some other receivers to nab a roster spot. He'll need some injuries to have meaningful fantasy value, but he's exceeded expectations so far, and both Josh Allen and previous teammate Aaron Rodgers have raved about his size and athletic ability. Keep his name in mind in the event injuries strike the high-powered Buffalo offense.... See More ... See Less
Bills' Jake Kumerow: Rising up depth chart
Kumerow has stood out early in training camp, making frequent eye-popping plays, Dante Lasting of the Bills' official site reports.
The journeyman, who flipped between the Bills' roster and practice squad last season, appeared to be on the outside looking in for a roster spot when he was re-signed, and while that may still be the case he's putting himself in serious running for the final WR spot. Kumerow has held his own against star cornerback Tre'Davious White throughout camp and has drawn praise from his teammates for the athleticism he's showing coming from a guy his size. The Bills' top four receiving spots are locked up and the fifth will likely go to jack-of-all-trades Isaiah McKenzie, but Kumerow is certainly right up there if the Bills go with six receivers or one of the top five suffers an injury.... Jake Kumerow: Cut by Buffalo
Kumerow was let go Thursday, the Bills' official site reports.
Bah humbug. Kumerow caught his first TD pass for the Bills last weekend in the rout over Denver, but such is life in the NFL. We're pretty sure the Bills would like him back on their practice squad if no other team's interest was piqued by last week's score.... See More ... See Less
Bills' Jake Kumerow: Signed to active roster
The Bills signed Kumerow to the active roster from the practice squad Wednesday, Maddy Glab of the team's official site reports.
Kumerow has been a practice squad elevation for Buffalo's last three games, and he's shown enough for the team to now sign him to the active roster. The 28-year-old wideout hasn't yet been targeted this season, and he's mostly played on special teams in three appearances, but the placement of John Brown (ankle) on IR could allow him more opportunities.... Jake Kumerow: Back down to practice squad
Kumerow reverted to the Bills' practice squad Monday after playing 17 special-teams snaps during Sunday's 32-30 loss to the Cardinals, per the NFL's official transaction log.
The former Packer collected zero snaps on the offensive side while going without a statistical contribution of note on special teams. Kumerow signed with Buffalo's practice squad Sept. 8, but he didn't make his Bills debut until Week 9. With appearances in consecutive games, there's a reasonable chance Kumerow is elevated once again for a Nov. 29 matchup against the Chargers following Buffalo's Week 11 bye.... See More ... See Less

Kumerow was elevated to the active roster Saturday ahead of a tilt against the Seahawks, but he ultimately produced no statistical output on three offensive snaps and 16 special-teams snaps during the contest.
