Chris Conley: Hanging up cleats
Conley (elbow) has decided to retire from the NFL, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Conley had been a free agent after playing in 15 regular-season games with San Francisco last year, tallying six catches on 12 targets for 76 yards. He injured his elbow during the 49ers' final contest of the campaign, but it wasn't announced as a severe issue, and the injury wasn't mentioned as a factor in the wideout's decision to retire. The Georgia product's best campaign came in 2019 with Jacksonville, when he recorded career-high marks of 47 receptions (on 90 targets) for 775 yards while tying a career best with five touchdowns over 16 regular-season contests.

49ers' Chris Conley: Reserve role in 2024
Conley (elbow) appeared in 15 games for the 49ers this season, finishing with six receptions on 12 targets for 76 yards.
Conley finished his second year in San Francisco with similar minimal results from a fantasy perspective. The veteran wideout injured his elbow in the team's final game of the regular season, but the severity of the injury wasn't disclosed. At age 32, Conley is set to become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason.

49ers' Chris Conley: Questionable to return Sunday
Conley (elbow) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Cardinals, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Conley suffered the elbow injury in the second half and his return is now up in the air. The wide receiver caught both of his targets for 30 yards before departing Sunday. In his absence, Trent Taylor is a candidate to see an increase in workload with San Francisco's offense.

49ers' Chris Conley: Limited to three snaps on offense
Conley went without a target while playing three of the 49ers' 54 snaps on offense in Thursday's 12-6 loss to the Rams.
Conley has suited up for each of the 49ers' last five games but has drawn just one target over that stretch. Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall are entrenched as the 49ers' preferred three-receiver set, and rookie Jacob Cowing (four snaps on offense in Week 15) could be threatening Conley for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart.

49ers' Chris Conley: Active for Week 13
Conley (knee) is active for Sunday night's contest against the Bills, Lindsey Pallares of the team's official website reports.
Conley will ultimately be able to go in Week 13 after logging back-to-back limited practices to end the week. The wide receiver has played just seven offensive snaps over the last two games, failing to reel in his only target.
