  • Browns' Jack Conklin: Taking reps, remains on schedule

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Conklin (kneecap) is taking part in the Browns' voluntary offseason program and "working really hard," Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports.

Stefanski said Conklin's recovery still is on schedule, though he doesn't have an anticipated date by which the starting right tackle will be at full health. It looks like the Browns remain optimistic about the two-time first-team All-Pro's chances of being ready for Week 1. He's recovering from December surgery.

  • Browns' Jack Conklin: Ahead of schedule with rehab

General manager Andrew Berry said Tuesday that Conklin is ahead of schedule in his recovery from patellar tendon surgery, and the Browns are "optimistic" the right tackle will make a "strong return" in 2022, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Conklin underwent surgery on his right knee in early December, but he's already seemingly made good progress three months into his recovery. Barring any setbacks as the offseason progresses, the 27-year-old should step back into a starting role for Cleveland in 2022, the final year of his contract.

  • Browns' Jack Conklin: Serious injury feared

The Browns fear that Conklin suffered a torn patella tendon in Sunday's loss to the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Conklin went down in the first quarter of Sunday's matchup and appeared to walk off the field under his own power. However, he required assistance from trainers before he was carted to the locker room. Although the Browns have a Week 13 bye, the 2016 first-rounder's most recent injury could cost him significant time. Blake Hance should serve as the starting right tackle if Conklin is sidelined.

  • Browns' Jack Conklin: Ruled out immediately Sunday night

Conklin (knee) has been ruled out of Sunday night's game against the Ravens, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Conklin went down in the first quarter and looked to be in a lot of pain. Once he was up, he attempted to walk off under his own power before stumbling and requiring the assistance of trainers to get off the field. The Michigan State product then rode to the locker room on a cart for evaluation, and the Browns ruled him out almost immediately thereafter. He'll now get two weeks to recover thanks to a bye in Week 13, but it sounds like a longer-term issue. Blake Hance has taken over at right tackle.

Conklin (elbow) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports.
