Saints' Marshon Lattimore: Restructures contract
The Saints restructured Lattimore's contract Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Lattimore originally signed a five-year, $97.6 million contract in September 2021, but with the Saints in desperate need to shed salary cap, they opted to convert the cornerback's base salary into a signing bonus, which creates $18.45 million in cap space for 2022. The 2017 first-round pick appeared in 16 games last year and totaled 68 tackles (55 solo), 19 pass deflections, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.
