Jaguars' Jaylon Jones: Recovered from hamstring issue
Jones (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Jones joined the Jaguars in early October, one month after being released from injured by the Bears in early September with an injury settlement. He was unable to play in Weeks 5 and 6 due to lingering hamstring injury, but his full practice Wednesday indicates that he'll make his 2026 debut against the Colts on Sunday. The addition of Jones gives the Jaguars depth in the secondary behind Montaric Brown, Jourdan Lewis and Travis Hunter.

Jones (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Texans in London.
Jones had been listed as questionable heading into the weekend but will be sidelined for a second straight game due to the hamstring injury after he managed only limited participation in practices Wednesday through Friday. Jaguars' Jaylon Jones: Won't play in Week 5
Jones (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Jones signed a contract with the Jaguars on Tuesday and was a limited practice participant in each of the next three days while tending to a lingering hamstring injury. He's not quite ready to make his team debut, but his next chance to do so is Week 6 against the Texans on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Jacksonville signed Jones (hamstring) to its 53-man roster Tuesday.
Jones was released by the Bears with an injury settlement prior to Week 1, but it now appears he's ready for game action again. In corresponding transactions, the Jaguars signed cornerback Alijah Huzzie, waived cornerback Christian Braswell (knee) with an injury designation and placed safety Caleb Ransaw (knee) on their injured reserve list.

The Bears released Jones (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Jones was placed on injured reserve Monday with an undisclosed issue. The cornerback likely believes he can return promptly and participate in the 2026 regular season, leading to the injury settlement with the Bears. Jones is now a free agent and can sign with any franchise's 53-man roster or practice squad as soon as he is medically cleared.

Bears' Jaylon Jones: Placed on injured reserve
The Bears placed Jones (undisclosed) on injured reserve Sunday with a designation to return.
It is unclear when exactly Jones suffered his injury. The cornerback will now need to miss at least the first four games of the regular season before he is eligible to return to the Bears' active roster. Jones is signing a one-year contract with the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jones entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and has played all four of his pro campaigns with Chicago, though he was briefly on Arizona's roster last offseason. The Ole Miss product has played more snaps on special teams than on defense each of the past three years and figures to continue working as a depth cornerback in 2026.
