  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Doubtful to return in Week 4

Rice (hamstring) is doubtful to return to Sunday's contest in Las Vegas.

Considering the downgrade from questionable to doubtful, Rice appears poised to finish Week 4 without a target in about half of a quarter of play. Xavier Worthy, Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen will be the primary wide receivers available to QB Patrick Mahomes for as long as Rice is sidelined.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Suffers hamstring injury

Rice officially sustained a hamstring injury during Sunday's contest at Las Vegas.

Rice grabbed at his hamstring at the end of a seven-yard catch that was negated due to a penalty on the Raiders defense, limping to the sideline before the Chiefs ruled him questionable to return. For as long as Rice is off the field, Xavier Worthy, Tyquan Thornton, Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen figure to pick up the slack in the WR corps.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Departs Sunday's contest

Rice suffered an apparent hamstring injury during Sunday's game in Las Vegas, James Palmer of Bleacher Report reports.

Rice exhibited a limp while clutching at his hamstring while going to the sideline in the first quarter. The precise nature of the issue isn't known, but he wasn't targeted before his exit.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Target share continues to trend up

Rice caught seven of nine targets for 88 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Dolphins.

Rice was the only Kansas City pass catcher with more than three targets, and he paced the team in receiving yards as well, but Patrick Mahomes' two touchdown passes went to Kenneth Walker and Travis Kelce. Rice's target total has climbed from two in Week 1 to six in Week 2 and now nine in Week 3, so his usage has been trending in the right direction ahead of a Week 4 road game against the Raiders. He averaged 9.8 targets per game in eight appearances last season.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Robust yardage total in OT win

Rice brought in four of six targets for 83 yards in the Chiefs' 33-30 overtime win over the Colts on Sunday night.

Rice finished with the Chiefs' third-highest receiving yardage total and turned in a 31-yard grab along the way. The 2023 second-round pick's boost in production was a welcome sight for fantasy managers after he'd managed a 2-19-1 line in Week 1, and given Patrick Mahomes already looks close to full health after last December's season-ending knee injury, Rice's outlook as Kansas City's No. 1 receiver should only get brighter as the season unfolds. Rice and the rest of the Chiefs' offense is in a premium spot in Week 3, as they'll pay a visit to the winless Dolphins next Sunday.

  • Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Gets in end zone to start season

Rice brought in both targets for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 31-10 win over the Broncos on Monday night.

Rice was on the receiving end of Patrick Mahomes' first touchdown pass of the season, doing all the work on a 13-yard scoring grab off a wide-receiver screen late in the first half that saw him break multiple tackles. Rice was quiet otherwise, but he did deliver excellent downfield blocking on Travis Kelce's game-long 59-yard catch in the third quarter. Mahomes connected on just five occasions with Rice and fellow starting wideout Xavier Worthy on Monday night, but that volume could certainly increase in a favorable Week 2 home matchup Sunday night against a Colts defense that was exposed in every facet by the Ravens in Week 1.
