Mackenzie Dern Biography
Mackenzie Dern

Dern is arguably the most accomplished female to transition from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the world of mixed martial arts. Having won gold medals at almost every major grappling tournament of note, one would think Dern would have a submission-focused game in the Octagon. Instead, she has no hesitation to mix things up on the feet. Dern’s ride hasn’t always been smooth, but it did lead to her winning the women’s strawweight championship after defeating Virna Jandiroba at UFC 321.
