Bills' Jordan Poyer: Ruled out for Week 18
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday that Poyer (hamstring) is ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Jets, Maddy Glab of the team's official site reports.
Poyer will miss a second consecutive contest to close out the regular season. Buffalo will hope to have the starting safety back on the field in time for the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs. Across his 10 regular-season appearances in 2025, Poyer racked up 70 tackles (31 solo), including 0.5 sacks, plus three passes defensed, including one interception.

Bills' Jordan Poyer: Sidelined Wednesday
Poyer (hamstring) won't participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
The 34-year-old was sidelined for the Week 17 loss to the Eagles due to a hamstring issue, and Wednesday's DNP suggests he's still dealing with the injury. The 13th-year veteran will move into a starting role at safety alongside Cole Bishop in Week 8 after Taylor Rapp (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday. The move is simply procedural to make room on the practice squad for Davis, so Poyer is expected to be back on the Bills' practice squad Thursday. Poyer is expected to join Buffalo's practice squad, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
Poyer didn't garner any interest in free agency after a 2024 campaign with Miami during which he started 16 games and posted 98 tackles but had just three passes defensed, no interceptions and no sacks. The 34-year-old safety's best football is behind him, but Buffalo's safety play was shaky in the preseason, so perhaps Poyer will get a chance at some point in 2025 to add to his career total of 107 regular-season appearances with the Bills.
