Summary
DeVonta Smith is a difficult evaluation simply because he hasn’t played much football. He has fewer than 800 career snaps between Alabama and Notre Dame, with almost all of them coming in the slot. In that limited sample, though, he’s put together quality tape. Smith has the stout frame and rugged play style to hold up inside at the next level, but a nagging calf injury limited his opportunity to show it last fall.
About
- 2025: 5 starts in 8 games played (Notre Dame)

- No hesitation to his game; triggers downhill with urgency.
- Long arms and big wingspan for his height.

- Minimal experience outside of the slot.
- Left playing catch-up at the top of routes in man coverage.
