Lions' Jared Goff: Gifts Vikings five TOs on Christmas
Rotowire
Goff completed 18 of 29 pass attempts for 197 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Thursday's 23-10 loss to the Vikings. He also rushed three times for two yards and fumbled three times, losing all three.
Goff connected with Isaac TeSlaa for a four-yard touchdown pass on fourth down to cap a 19-play, 80-yard drive with 1:05 remaining before halftime. That touchdown got the Lions on the board and answered a first-quarter Vikings touchdown that came five plays after a Goff fumble. Minnesota reclaimed the lead with a pair of field goals, which were set up by Goff's two third-quarter interceptions on consecutive pass attempts. Goff fumbled two more times in the fourth quarter, as he accounted for five of Detroit's six turnovers. The Lions were eliminated from playoff contention with Thursday's loss, but Goff will have an opportunity to finish the regular season on a less sour note in a Week 18 trip to Chicago.

Lions' Jared Goff: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)
Rotowire
I love Goff, and he helped me reach the Fantasy championship in one league this season by scoring at least 31.5 points in each of his past two games against the Rams and Steelers. But this is a tough week to trust him against the Vikings, who are on a historic run defensively. Minnesota comes into Week 17 as the first team since the 1988 Browns to not allow a touchdown pass in at least six consecutive games. And the Vikings have done that against Caleb Williams, Jordan Love, Sam Darnold, Jayden Daniels, Dak Prescott and Jaxson Dart since Week 11, which isn't exactly easy competition. Add in Week 10 against Lamar Jackson, who had one touchdown pass, and Minnesota has held seven quarterbacks in a row to 18.6 Fantasy points or less. Now, in Week 9, Goff had 23.4 Fantasy points against the Vikings, but he has averaged 14.2 points in five career games at Minnesota. I would only start Goff in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 17.

Lions' Jared Goff: Three touchdowns against Pittsburgh
Rotowire
Goff completed 34 of 54 passes for 364 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in Sunday's 29-24 loss to the Steelers. He added one rush for minus-1 yard.
Goff took to the air a season-high 54 times as the Lions played down by two scores for much of the fourth quarter. He was efficient throughout the contest, and he picked up 199 yards and touchdowns of 27 and four yards across the team's final three drives of the game. While it hasn't led to consistent victories, Goff has topped 300 passing yards in three straight games while also throwing seven touchdowns in that span.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Goff had a big game at the Rams in Week 15 with 338 passing yards and three touchdowns, and he scored 31.5 Fantasy points. He's reached at least 21.2 Fantasy points in three of his past four outings, and he should stay hot against the Steelers at home. Pittsburgh is No. 9 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and three of the past four guys against the Steelers have scored at least 20.2 points, including two in a row.

Lions' Jared Goff: Strong play in loss to former club
Rotowire
Goff completed 25 of 41 pass attempts for 338 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 41-34 loss to the Rams.
Matthew Stafford bested Goff in a battle of quarterbacks who were traded for each other back in 2021. The latter actually finished with the superior fantasy score after Goff set a new season high in passing yards. It was the fourth time this season that the Cal product threw for three touchdowns with no interceptions, resulting in a sparkling 5.8 TD/INT through 14 starts. Goff will look to continue his strong fantasy campaign when the Lions host the Steelers next Sunday.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Goff had a mediocre game in Week 14 against Dallas with just 18.2 Fantasy points, but I expect him to be in a shootout with Matthew Stafford and the Rams in Week 15. Goff has scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in three of his past four road games, and the Rams have allowed Bryce Young and Jacoby Brissett to each score at least 23.1 Fantasy points in the past two games. Goff has faced the Rams three times since being traded from Los Angeles to Detroit in 2021, and he's never had a 20-point Fantasy outing. That changes in Week 15, and I like Goff as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues.

Lions' Jared Goff: Eclipses 300-yard mark in win
Rotowire
Goff completed 25 of 34 passes for 309 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions while rushing twice for minus-2 yards in the Lions' 44-30 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.
Goff put together a solid all-around performance in a game where he had the benefit of the lead for the majority of the time, averaging 9.1 yards per attempt on the way to his third 300-yard effort of the season. The veteran signal-caller completed five passes of 20-plus yards overall, with Jameson Williams, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs serving as his top three targets and Isaac TeSlaa on the receiving end of his one touchdown pass (12 yards). Goff boasts an impressive 70.1 percent completion rate and elite 26:5 TD:INT heading into a Week 15 road clash against his old Rams squad on Dec. 14.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Goff won't have two of his top weapons with Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) not expected to play, as well as Sam LaPorta (back) on injured reserve. But I still like Goff as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback in this potential shootout with Dallas at home. Only one quarterback this season has failed to score at least 23.7 Fantasy points against the Cowboys, which was Geno Smith in Week 11, and Dallas is No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Goff has scored at least 21.2 Fantasy points in three home games in a row, and he should be successful with Jameson Williams, Isaac TeSlaa and Jahmyr Gibbs out of the backfield.

Lions' Jared Goff: Comes up short on Thanksgiving
Rotowire
Goff completed 20 of 26 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 31-24 loss to the Packers. He added 24 rushing yards on his only carry.
Top target Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle) left the game in the first quarter and didn't return, forcing Goff to adjust on the fly. While the QB leaned heavily on Jameson Williams (7-144-1 on 10 targets) and also found rookie Isaac TeSlaa for a third-quarter score, St. Brown's absence was noticeable as the Lions tried to mount a fourth-quarter comeback. Goff still tossed multiple touchdowns for the fourth time in five games since Detroit's Week 8 bye, posting a 10:2 TD:INT over that stretch. Whether St. Brown is able to suit up or not, Goff could be more productive against a less stingy defense in Week 14 against the Cowboys.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Goff scored 21.2 Fantasy points in Week 12 against the Giants, which was fine, but I had higher expectations for him as the Start of the Week. This week, my expectations are lower given the matchup with the Packers, who are No. 6 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, but I still like Goff as a starter in all leagues. He only scored 12.9 Fantasy points at Green Bay in Week 1, but Goff is always better at home since he's averaging 23.5 Fantasy points in five outings in Detroit this year. The Packers also have allowed three of the past four quarterbacks on the road to score at least 20.8 Fantasy points, and Goff has scored at least 20.9 Fantasy points in three of four Thanksgiving Day games since joining the Lions in 2021.

Lions' Jared Goff: Tosses two TDs in OT win
Rotowire
Goff completed 28 of 42 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in Sunday's 34-27 overtime win over the Giants.
The veteran QB struggled early, but Goff led the Lions to 10 points in the fourth quarter to complete a late comeback, before Jahmyr Gibbs broke free for a 69-yard touchdown run on the first play of OT. Goff has an 8:2 TD:INT in four games since Detroit's bye, but he'll face what should be a tougher test in Week 13 during a Thanksgiving clash with the Packers.

Lions' Jared Goff: Start of the Week
Rotowire
Jared Goff was bad in Week 11 at Philadelphia with 14.1 Fantasy points, but that was expected. The Eagles defense is tough, and Goff was playing outdoors. This week, Goff should go off at home against the Giants, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Five of the past six opposing quarterbacks against the Giants scored at least 21.7 Fantasy points, including two in a row with Caleb Williams and Jordan Love. In their past five games, the Giants have allowed 11 passing touchdowns and no interceptions. The Lions are also 10.5-point favorites at home, and this is typically when Goff thrives. I love him as a top-five Fantasy quarterback in all leagues in Week 12.

Lions' Jared Goff: Career-worst accuracy in loss
Rotowire
Goff completed 14 of 37 passes for 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Eagles.
Goff looked uncomfortable throughout the game, and his 37.8 percent completion rate was the worst of his career in a single contest, per Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News. Most of his yardage came after the catch from Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams, the latter of whom accounted for Goff's only touchdown on a 40-yard catch and run. It was an abysmal performance from Goff, but he's still thrown for multiple touchdowns in five of his last seven games, and he should bounce back in Week 12 with a home matchup against the Giants.

Lions' Jared Goff: Picks apart Commanders
Rotowire
Goff completed 25 of 33 passes for 320 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 44-22 win over the Commanders.
Goff topped 300 yards for the second time this season thanks to a particularly efficient performance. In addition to completing more than 75 percent of his passes, Goff tallied three gains of more than 20 yards while throwing for a pair of 14-yard touchdowns and one of nine. Goff now has multiple passing scores in six of his nine games on the campaign, and he's averaged more than 7.5 yards per attempt in three straight matchups.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
We usually like to avoid Goff when he's on the road, but he scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in his past two away games against the Bengals and Chiefs. He should have another solid road outing in Week 10 against the Commanders, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks and are dealing with injuries in their secondary. Three quarterbacks in a row have scored at least 28.9 Fantasy points against Washington, and Goff should be a top-10 quarterback in all leagues in Week 10.

Lions' Jared Goff: Solid day in loss
Rotowire
Goff completed 25 of 37 passes for 284 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Lions' 27-24 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
The Lions' offense wasn't as efficient as usual, but Goff still finished with a fantasy-friendly stat line while working around five sacks. The veteran signal-caller facilitated a pair of 97-yard efforts for Sam LaPorta and Amon-Ra St. Brown, and he connected with LaPorta and Jameson Williams for scoring tosses of 40 and 37 yards, respectively. Goff's yardage total was his second highest of the season, and he's now thrown multiple touchdown passes in four of the last five games heading into a Week 10 road matchup against the Commanders.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start

Goff had a down game at home in Week 7 against Tampa Bay with just 12.3 Fantasy points, and he's now scored 16.7 Fantasy points or less in each of his past two games in Detroit. But he should get back on track in Week 9 against the Vikings, who have allowed three quarterbacks in a row to score at least 20.1 Fantasy points, including two in a row of Jalen Hurts and Justin Herbert going over 30 points. Goff has also scored at least 22.8 Fantasy points in two of his past three games against Minnesota, and he should do well against the Vikings once again in Week 9.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Start
Rotowire
This should be a great week for Goff. The Buccaneers have allowed 688 passing yards in the past two games against Sam Darnold and Mac Jones, and four quarterbacks this season have scored at least 20.7 Fantasy points against Tampa Bay. Goff has scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in his past two games against the Bengals and Chiefs, and both of those were on the road. At home, Goff is averaging 30.3 Fantasy points per game this season, albeit in two outings against Chicago and Cleveland. In four career meetings against the Buccaneers, Goff is averaging 388.3 passing yards, with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions, and he's passed for at least 307 yards in each outing.

Lions' Jared Goff: Falls short at Arrowhead
Rotowire
Goff completed 23 of 29 passes for 203 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Chiefs. He added one rush for seven yards.
Goff had an interesting start to the game, as he had a touchdown catch nullified by a penalty on Detroit's opening possession. He was out-dueled by Patrick Mahomes from there, but he still turned in a decent performance, highlighted by three completions at least 20 yards -- including a 22-yard touchdown connection with Jameson Williams. Goff now has multiple scores in each of his last three games.

Lions' Jared Goff: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Goff was excellent outdoors in Week 5 at Cincinnati with 26.1 Fantasy points, but he faced a terrible defense and thrived. In his other two games outdoors at Green Bay in Week 1 and at Baltimore in Week 3, he combined for 27.5 Fantasy points, and I expect him to struggle this week at Kansas City. The Chiefs have allowed multiple passing touchdowns in a game just once this season, which was Justin Herbert in Week 1. And Herbert is the lone quarterback with more than 225 passing yards against Kansas City this year. Goff also passed for just 253 yards and one touchdown in his lone visit to Kansas City in his career in 2023. He is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 6.
