Fantasy News

  • Texans' Trent Brown: Inactive for Week 18

Brown (ankle/knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Brown will end up missing the final two games of the regular season due to ankle and knee injuries, and Tytus Howard will get the start at right tackle for a second consecutive game. Brown has been unable to practice since sustaining the injuries in Week 16 against the Raiders, which puts him in jeopardy of missing the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs.

  • Texans' Trent Brown: Remains sidelined at practice

Brown (ankle/knee) didn't practice Wednesday. Brown didn't practice at all last week and missed Saturday's win over the Chargers. Brown (knee) was absent from practice Tuesday, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. Brown sustained a knee injury late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Raiders. The offensive tackle's lack of participation in practice is a poor sign for his potential ability to suit up for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Brown will have two more opportunities to get back on the practice field in an attempt to dodge injury designation ahead of Saturday's game.

  • Bengals' Trent Brown: Returning to practice

Brown (undisclosed) practiced Monday for the first time and will likely be the starting right tackle with rookie first-rounder Amarius Mims (pectoral muscle) out several weeks, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports. Mims' absence gives the Bengals very little proven tackle depth in the event of another injury, though Brown seems unconcerned about his late start. "This is Year 10 for me," Brown said. "I've got a lot of reps under my belt already. I think I kind of know how the game is played and how it needs to be played."
