Cardinals' Jonathan Ledbetter: Staying in Arizona
Ledbetter re-signed with the Cardinals on a one-year deal Tuesday, Darren Urban of team's official site reports.
Ledbetter, who was an exclusive rights free agent, signed his tender and will now return to Arizona for the 2023 season. After playing in just one game during each of his first two seasons, the 2019 undrafted free agent appeared in 14 games this past year, logging 22 tackles (10 solo) and a sack before landing on injured reserve with a knee injury prior to Week 18. With the Cardinals lacking depth along the defensive line, the 25-year-old should have ample opportunity to build off his 2022 campaign.

Cardinals' Jonathan Ledbetter: Lands on IR
The Cardinals placed Ledbetter (knee) on injured reserve Friday.
Ledbetter was forced out with a knee injury during last Sunday's loss to Atlanta. While the nature of this issue is still unclear, the 25-year-old will now look to improve his health heading into the upcoming offseason, as Arizona has already been eliminated from this season's playoffs. Ledbetter logged 22 tackles and one sack across 14 appearances, and his absence will leave J.J. Watt, Michael Dogbe and Manny Jones as the Cardinals' only available defensive ends Week 18.

The undrafted rookie out of Georgia had a respectable role in the defense, working on 51 of 77 defensive snaps (66 percent). It was an ugly overall performance for the Dolphins' defense, but Ledbetter showed potential with his half sack. It will be another tough contest in Week 2 against the Patriots.
