Texans' Jamal Hill: Working through wrist injury
Hill (wrist) did not practice Wednesday.
Hill likely picked up the injury during the Texans' Week 16 win over the Raiders, when he logged one solo tackle while serving on special teams. He has one more opportunity to log a full practice and avoid an injury designation against the Chargers on Saturday.

Texans' Derek Stingley: Limited in practice
Stingley (oblique) was a limited participant in Houston's practice Wednesday.
Stingley popped up on the injury report Wednesday after scoring his first career touchdown during the Week 16 win over Las Vegas. The 2022 first-round pick managed to play through the injury last week and will look to do so once again during Saturday's matchup versus the Chargers.

Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Limited in Wednesday's practice
Lassiter (foot) was a limited participant in Houston's practice Wednesday.
Lassiter managed to return to practice after sitting out Tuesday's session due to a foot injury. The 22-year-old is seemingly trending toward playing in Saturday's game versus the Chargers, where he should continue to serve as one of the Texans' starting cornerbacks.

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Logs full practice Wednesday
Schultz (knee) practiced fully Wednesday.
Schultz was deemed limited Tuesday, but the tight end's return to a full session a day later sets him up to be available for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Schultz has scored in each of his last two games, a span in which he has caught 13 of his 14 targets for 111 yards, a pace that keeps him firmly on the fantasy radar at the TE position in Week 17.

Texans' Danielle Hunter: Secures sack in Week 16 win
Hunter finished Sunday's 23-21 victory versus Las Vegas with three tackles, including 1.0 sacks.
Hunter's sack came midway through the fourth quarter, when he brought down Geno Smith for a nine-yard loss. It was the second straight game with a sack for the veteran linebacker and pushed him up to 13.0 sacks on the season. That's tied for third in the NFL behind only Myles Garrett (22) and Brian Burns (15).

Texans' Will Anderson: Sets career high in sacks
Anderson tallied two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, against Las Vegas in a 23-21 Week 16 win Sunday.
Anderson's sack came late in the second quarter and resulted in a nine-yard loss. It pushed him up to 11.5 sacks on the campaign, surpassing his previous regular-season career high of 11.0 sacks, which he established last year. Anderson had gone a season-high three games without a sack prior to taking down Geno Smith in the backfield Sunday.

Texans' Jalen Pitre: Steady in Week 16 win
Pitre posted seven tackles (six solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 23-21 win against the Raiders.
Pitre tied for third on the Texans in stops in the narrow victory. After missing three games while in concussion protocol, Pitre has logged every defensive snap for Houston over the past four weeks. He's up to 66 tackles and 11 defensed passes, including four pickoffs, over 12 games this season.

Texans' Calen Bullock: Paces Texans in stops Week 16
Bullock tallied nine tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 23-21 victory against Las Vegas.
Bullock's nine tackles led Houston and marked a career high. They also pushed Bullock up to 60 stops on the campaign and have exceeded the 54 he recorded as a rookie last season. The second-year safety has started every game for the Texans during his sophomore campaign and has registered nine defensed passes, including four interceptions.

Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Misses practice Tuesday
Lassiter (foot) was a non-participant in practice Tuesday.
Lassiter has been dealing with a foot injury throughout December, but the issue hasn't caused him to sit out any games. He's missed the first day of practice each of the past four weeks, so Tuesday's DNP shouldn't be particularly alarming. Unless Lassiter suffered a setback during Sunday's win over Las Vegas, he seems likely to play Saturday versus the Chargers.

Texans' Azeez Al-Shaair: Limited to begin Week 17 prep
Al-Shaair (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Tuesday.
Al-Shaair missed his first game of the season Sunday against the Raiders due to an ankle injury. He logged only one practice -- a limited session Thursday -- last week, so his ability to participate (albeit in a limited capacity) to begin this week is a positive sign. Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, Al-Shaair is expected to suit up Saturday against the Chargers.

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Reps capped by knee issue
Schultz was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice due to a knee injury.
The knee issue is a new concern for Schultz, who hasn't appeared on Houston injury reports since Week 12, when he was managing a shoulder concern leading up to the Texans' game against the Bills. Schultz has yet to miss a contest this season, and so long as he's able to continue practicing in some fashion Wednesday and/or Thursday, he should be ready to play Saturday against the Chargers.

Texans' Woody Marks: In clear for Week 17
Marks (ankle) was listed as a full participant for Tuesday's practice.
Marks' availability for this past Sunday's eventual 23-21 win over the Raiders appeared to come down to a game-time decision, but the Texans ultimately erred on the side of caution and held the rookie running back out for the first time all season. Nick Chubb (ribs) returned from a one-game absence of his own and gained 33 yards on six carries and nine yards on one reception, but it was Jawhar Jordan (15-53-0 rushing line, five catches for 17 yards on five targets) who saw the bulk of the work out of the backfield. Both Chubb and Jordan could have roles in the Week 17 game plan, but now that Marks is back practicing without limitations, expect him to serve as the Texans' lead option in Saturday's contest versus the Chargers.

Texans' Aireontae Ersery: Undergoes hand surgery
Ersery underwent surgery to repair his broken hand Tuesday and is without a timetable for return, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ersery has been Houston's starting left tackle since Week 2, so this is a significant loss for a Texans team that is on a hot streak headed into the postseason. Tytus Howard and Trent Brown (knee) are options to take over at left tackle for the Texans while Ersery is idle.

Texans' Aireontae Ersery: Absent from Tuesday's practice
Ersery (hand) was absent from Tuesday's practice, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Ersery sustained a hand injury near the end of Sunday's game against the Raiders. The offensive tackle's replacement, Trent Brown (knee), also suffered an injury late in the game and was absent from practice as well. Ersery will have two more opportunities to return to practice and prove he can suit up for Sunday's game, but if neither Brown nor he can go, the Texans' offense line may have some serious issues for Sunday's game.
