  • Eagles' Darius Slay: Clears concussion protocol

Slay (concussion) has passed the league's concussion protocol, Mike Kaye of NJ Advance Media reports.

Slay was unable to finish Philadelphia's Week 11 game against the Saints after suffering a concussion, but he has cleared the protocols, putting him in position to suit up Sunday against the Giants. Prior to getting injured last week, Slay recorded a pick-six for his second touchdown of the season.

  • Eagles' Darius Slay: Scores on 82-yard fumble return

Slay had five tackles (three solo) and one fumble recovery, which he returned for an 82-yard touchdown, during Sunday's win over the Broncos.

Slay's return on a fumble by Melvin Gordon was the Eagles' longest defensive touchdown since 2015, per Tim McManus of ESPN. The veteran cornerback isn't normally a likely candidate for big IDP performances, but it wasn't his first such game of 2021. The 30-year-old also scored against Detroit in Week 8, bringing him to a career-high mark of two touchdowns on the season.

  • Eagles' Darius Slay: Limited Thursday

Slay (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice session.

Although Slay had his reps capped Thursday, it was encouraging to see him back on the field after he was a non-participant Wednesday. If he can practice in some capacity once again Friday, he should have a good chance at suiting up Sunday against the Broncos.
