49ers' Brock Purdy: Not expected to miss practice time
Rotowire
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that he expects Purdy (shoulder) to be a full participant in practice throughout the week leading up to Sunday's wild-card game at Philadelphia, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
Though Purdy took every snap in this past Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Seahawks, he sustained what Shanahan labeled as a "stinger" when he was hit by a defender on the 49ers' final offensive play of the game. Shanahan relayed that Purdy would have been able to return to the Week 18 contest had the 49ers gotten the ball back, and the coach was even more adamant in his conviction that the quarterback would be available for the postseason opener after Purdy checked out fine upon getting evaluated further following Saturday's game. Purdy concluded the regular season having completed 197 of 284 pass attempts (69.4 percent) for 2,167 yards, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions to go with 147 yards and three more scores on 33 carries across his nine appearances.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Sustains stinger on final play
Rotowire
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan relayed that Purdy suffered a "stinger" after taking a hard hit to his left shoulder on the 49ers' final offensive play of Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Seahawks, Noah Furtado and Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle report. "It's just I got hit, and the left shoulder sort of lit up," Purdy said after the contest. "I feel good right now. We'll see how I feel [Sunday]."
After accounting for 13 touchdowns over the 49ers' first three games following their Week 14 bye, Purdy had a down performance Saturday, completing 19 of 27 passes for 127 yards -- his third-lowest total of 45 career starts -- and one interception while adding 21 yards on two carries as San Francisco fell short in its bid for the NFC's No. 1 seed. His night ended on a rough note after he took a hard blindside hit on his final dropback, resulting in him lying on the turf for a few moments before he retreated to the sideline. Fortunately for Purdy, he appears to have avoided anything significant, with Shanahan noting that the quarterback could have re-entered the game if the 49ers had gotten the ball back. Purdy could still have his practice reps managed to some extent during the upcoming week, but the stinger isn't expected to affect his availability for the 49ers' wild-card matchup versus a to-be-determined opponent.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Struggles against Seahawks
Rotowire
Purdy completed 19 of 27 passes for 127 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Seahawks.
Purdy and the 49ers' offense had been on an impressive run, having thrown for at least 295 yards and three touchdowns in three straight games. In Saturday's loss, he had limited opportunity due to Seattle dictating the flow of the game, with the 49ers running only 42 offensive plays as a result. However, Purdy was also stymied by the Seahawks' defense, averaging only 4.7 yards per attempt with just one completion of at least 20 yards. He ended the game with a bloodied thumb and remained down for a few minutes after being hit, but there is no indication for now that his status is in jeopardy as the 49ers begin their playoff run.

49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Purdy doesn't have an easy matchup in Week 18 against Seattle, but he's on fire now and should stay hot in this winner-take-all game for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. In his past three games against Tennessee, Indianapolis and Chicago, Purdy has combined for 893 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions, along with 83 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and he scored at least 32.2 Fantasy points in each outing. He scored 20.8 Fantasy points at Seattle in Week 1, and the Seahawks have allowed seven quarterbacks to score at least 20.1 Fantasy points this season.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Another five-TD performance
Rotowire
Purdy completed 24 of 33 pass attempts for 303 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while taking six carries for 28 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 42-38 win over Chicago.
Purdy followed up his career game against the Colts on Monday Night Football in Week 16 (295 yards, five TD passes) by dropping another five-score bonanza on the Bears in a second consecutive primetime victory. The 25-year-old looked Mahomes-esque in the third quarter while dancing through multiple defenders behind the line of scrimmage before ultimately dumping the ball off to an open Kyle Juszczyk for the second of three touchdown strikes. Purdy's improved movement and gaudy passing numbers since the 49ers' Week 14 bye (297.7 passing yards/game with 15 total TDs in three starts) indicate that the signal-caller is finally fully healed from the turf toe injury that derailed the earlier portions of his 2025 campaign. With the 12-4 49ers needing just one win to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC and a first-round bye, fantasy managers can expect to see Purdy's best against the Seahawks in Week 18.

49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Purdy has scored at least 32.2 Fantasy points in each of his past two starts against Tennessee and Indianapolis, and he should stay hot against Chicago on Sunday night. Hopefully, George Kittle (ankle) will play against the Bears after he was injured against the Colts, but I still like Purdy as a starter even if Kittle is limited or out. Prior to the past two weeks, when Chicago faced Cleveland in Week 15 and Green Bay in Week 16 in the game where Jordan Love (concussion) was injured, the two previous quarterbacks (Jalen Hurts and Love) each scored at least 20.3 Fantasy points. Purdy has top-five upside in all leagues in Week 17.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Career night on MNF
Rotowire
Purdy completed 25 of 34 pass attempts for 295 yards, five touchdowns and one interception while taking two carries for 11 yards in Monday's 48-27 rout of the Colts.
Purdy took his game to new heights by throwing five touchdown passes in a game for the first time in his career. The 25-year-old attacked Indianapolis' reeling secondary from the onset, firing three scores to three different receivers on San Francisco's first three possessions Monday. Purdy has been on an absolute heater coming out of the 49ers' bye week, amassing 590 passing yards and eight touchdowns without ever being forced to punt in both starts. The Iowa State Cyclone did lose star TE George Kittle (7-115-1) to an ankle injury in the second half, so Purdy could be missing one of his top weapons against the Bears in Week 17.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Flexes on lowly Titans
Rotowire
Purdy completed 23 of 30 pass attempts for 295 yards and three touchdowns while adding seven carries for 44 yards and a lost fumble in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Titans.
The 49ers' Week 14 bye did Purdy wonders. In addition to allowing the quarterback's body to gain strength after returning from injury just weeks prior, it also afforded the coaching staff an extra week to game plan against an inferior opponent. The end result Sunday was the 25-year-old's finest fantasy outing to date in 2025. Purdy will face a stiffer test on the road against the Colts next Monday, but his fantasy arrow is pointing up for Week 16.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Start of the Week
Rotowire
It's been an up-and-down season so far for Brock Purdy to say the least. He missed eight games due to injury, which was tough in real life. And, as a Fantasy quarterback, he has just three games with at least 20 Fantasy points in five healthy outings. But things are about to change for Purdy heading into Week 15. He's about to light up Tennessee at home, and then he gets to face Indianapolis in Week 16 and Chicago in Week 17, which are favorable matchups. But let's start with the Titans, who are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Six of the past seven quarterbacks against Tennessee have scored at least 21.7 Fantasy points, including Shedeur Sanders in Week 14 when he scored 39.5 points. I love the setup for Purdy in this game, and he's a top-five Fantasy quarterback for me in Week 15.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Produces two TDs in win
Rotowire
Purdy completed 16 of 29 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns. He added four rushing yards and a TD on two carries.
High winds in Cleveland made passing difficult, but Purdy was able to connect with Jauan Jennings for a seven-yard score in the fourth quarter after the QB ran in a two-yard touchdown of his own in the third. The rushing score was Purdy's first in three starts since returning from a toe injury and is the best sign yet that he's fully healthy. He'll get a bye to rest up next week before the 49ers host the Titans in Week 15.

49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Sit
Rotowire
Purdy had a rough game in Week 12 against Carolina with 193 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions, along with 16 rushing yards, and he scored just 9.3 Fantasy points. Now, he has to face the Browns on the road, and Cleveland is No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Only three quarterbacks this season have scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Browns, who have 28 sacks and seven interceptions in their past five games. Purdy is only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Off his mark on MNF
Rotowire
Purdy completed 23 of 32 pass attempts for 193 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions while rushing six times for 16 yards in Monday's 20-9 win over the Panthers.
Purdy had a first half he would like to forget after getting picked off by Carolina's secondary on three consecutive possessions. The trio of turnovers followed an impressive 15-play, 72-yard opening drive that culminated in a touchdown strike to WR Jauan Jennings. Head coach Kyle Shanahan gave his signal-caller a vote of confidence heading into halftime, telling ESPN's Lisa Salters that he felt Purdy played well outside of missing his mark on two of the three interceptions. The Iowa State product took better care of the ball in the second half, leading a couple of scoring drives to finish off the Panthers in the primetime victory. Monday's shoddy results coupled with a brutal upcoming matchup against Cleveland's defense Sunday should suppress Purdy's fantasy value Week 13.

49ers' Brock Purdy: QBs to Start
Rotowire
Purdy looked great in his return from a six-game absence with a toe injury in Week 11 at Arizona with 25.3 Fantasy points on 19-of-26 passing for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He's now scored at least 20.8 Fantasy points in all three starts that he's made this season, and he should have another solid outing against the Panthers. Carolina is No. 11 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, but Drake Maye, Tua Tagovailoa, Dak Prescott and Josh Allen all scored at least 26.1 Fantasy points against the Panthers. Purdy should follow suit, and he has top-10 upside in all leagues.

49ers' Brock Purdy: No restrictions Sunday
Rotowire
Purdy (toe) will be playing with no restrictions during Sunday's game against the Cardinals and will require no extra padding or a special shoe to protect his foot, Jay Glazer reported on "Fox NFL Sunday."
Glazer added that Purdy experienced more than a typical setback after aggravating the toe injury in Week 4, though the quarterback was still able to avoid surgery. Purdy will be making his third start of the season Sunday, while Mac Jones returns to the backup role.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Full practice Thursday, to start Sunday
Rotowire
Purdy (toe) practiced in full Thursday, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports. Afterward, coach Kyle Shanahan announced on KNBR San Francisco that Purdy was in line to start Sunday's contest at Arizona.
Purdy thus is poised for his first game action since Week 4 and just his third appearance of the season due to a nagging turf toe injury. He spoke on the issue Thursday, saying that surgery never was on the table, and that he also doesn't intend to wear a steel insert in his cleats, per Matt Barrows of The Athletic. Purdy also told Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com that he'll start this weekend, assuming he gets through the next few days unscathed. "I feel really good," Purdy said. "I feel healthy and excited to be back and ready to go and lead the guys. I'm really excited about this week." Purdy will retake the reins of the 49ers offense from No. 2 QB Mac Jones, who has handled eight spot starts this season.

49ers' Brock Purdy: In line to return Sunday
Rotowire
Coach Kyle Shanahan said on the 49ers Game Plan on Thursday that Purdy (toe) is slated to start Sunday's game at Arizona, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Per David Lombardi of SFStandard.com, Shanahan has hinted at this possibility this week but added that the 49ers "want three aggressive practices, and we want to hear from him and make sure he feels good after them, too." Purdy remained limited at Wednesday's practice, but after Thursday's session, offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak told Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News that the fourth-year pro has done more this week than in previous weeks and looks more confident in his movements after contending with a turf toe injury for much of the campaign. Shanahan likely will make the announcement of Purdy returning to the starting lineup for the first time since Week 4 public at some point before week's end.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Practicing with intent to start Sunday
Rotowire
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Purdy (toe) will be a limited but "aggressive" participant at Wednesday's practice with the intention to start Sunday's game at Arizona, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
On the heels of Purdy's eighth absence of the season this past Sunday against the Rams, Shanahan told David Lombardi of SFStandard.com on Monday that the 49ers "want three aggressive practices, and we want to hear from him and make sure he feels good after them, too." Wednesday's development indicates that Purdy isn't completely past the turf toe injury that has bothered him since Week 1, but he's at least putting himself in a position for his first game action since Week 4. Mac Jones has been filling for Purdy during his extended absence.

49ers' Brock Purdy: One To Stash (QB Preview)
Rotowire
Purdy has fallen below 65% rostered so he is eligible for the waiver wire column. I would expect him to be even better than Jones has been, particularly if Ricky Pearsall or Brandon Aiyuk come back this year. If you have been streaming QBs, Purdy could be the guy that ends that for you. He gets the Titans, Colts, and Bears in the Fantasy playoffs.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Has chance to return Week 11
Rotowire
Head coach Kyle Shanahan said after Sunday's 42-26 loss to the Rams that Purdy (toe) has a real chance to return in Week 11 against the Cardinals, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Mac Jones made his eighth start of the season in Sunday's loss to the Rams, which dropped the 49ers to 6-4. Purdy has been progressing in his recovery from turf toe and was a limited participant in Week 10 prior to being declared inactive against the Rams. Purdy would likely need to ramp up to full participation prior to reclaiming the starting role.

49ers' Brock Purdy: Inactive again in Week 10
Rotowire
Purdy (toe) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Rams, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.
Purdy hasn't been able to progress to a full practice since his last appearance in Week 4 as he works his way back from a turf toe injury. In Purdy's absence during Week 10, Mac Jones will earn his eighth start of the campaign, while Adrian Martinez will serve as the backup quarterback. Purdy's next chance to play is next Sunday at Arizona.
