  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Mulling retirement

Hyde is considering retiring from football, Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News reports.

Hyde still hasn't made any concrete decision regarding his future in the league, though apparently retirement is a possibility. His current contract with the Bills is up in March, so he'll need to sign a new one at some point if he intends to play in 2024.

  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Should be available at Miami

Hyde (neck) was a full participant at practice Thursday.

Hyde was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a neck stinger, but he's now back to full strength. He'll man the last line of defense Sunday against the Dolphins in what is essentially an AFC East title game.

  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Returns to injury report

Hyde (neck) was listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report, Chris Brown of the Bills Radio Network reports.

Hyde suffered a neck stinger in Week 14 -- after a two-game absence, he was able to return to action Sunday against the Patriots. Despite his ability to suit up for the contest, the veteran safety will start Week 18 on the team's injury report. Assuming he hasn't aggravated the injury or suffered any setbacks, he should ultimately suit up against the Dolphins for the team's regular-season finale.

  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Plays every snap in Week 17 return

Hyde recorded three tackles (two solo) and one pass breakup in Sunday's win over the Patriots.

After going down in Week 14 with a neck injury and missing the following two contests, Hyde returned to the lineup versus New England and played 100 percent of the defensive snaps. Buffalo could use the strong veteran play of Hyde for the remainder of the year (the safety duo of Hyde and Jordan Poyer has been a cornerstone of the team's defense for years) and into the playoffs if the Bills are able to clinch a spot.

  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Will play vs. Patriots

Hyde (neck) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Patriots.

After being limited at practice Wednesday and Thursday, Hyde was able to manage a full practice Friday, putting himself on track to suit up in Week 17. He projects to start at safety next to Jordan Poyer on Sunday.

  • Bills' Micah Hyde: Working through neck injury

Hyde was listed as limited for the second straight day Thursday due to a neck stinger.

Hyde has missed the past two weeks with the issue, and it's worth noting he suffered a significant neck injury that caused him to miss all but two games in 2022. Taylor Rapp has been performing well in relief of Hyde as a starting safety, but the Bills have a banged-up defense overall and it would help if an experienced veteran like Hyde can get back in the mix as the team makes a playoff push.
