DeMarcus Lawrence SEA LB
Seahawks' DeMarcus Lawrence: Dealing with quad injury
2m agoLawrence (quadriceps) was limited during Monday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Lawrence may have tweaked his quad during Sunday's 18-16 win over Indianapolis, when he tallied four solo tackles while playing 43 of 60 defensive snaps (71.2 percent). The injury doesn't appear to be severe given his ability to work in a limited fashion Monday, and he'll have two more chances to log a full practice ahead of Thursday's game against the Rams.
-
Jordan Whittington LAR WR
Rams' Jordan Whittington: Dealing with back issue
2m agoWhittington was deemed limited for Monday's practice walkthrough due to a back injury, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Whittington logged a season-low four offensive snaps Sunday against Detroit, though it's unclear if that was a consequence of the back issue. He maintained his usual role as the Rams' lead kick returner, so Whittington's reduced offensive role may have simply been a result of Tutu Atwell returning from IR and Konata Mumpfield continuing to take on a larger role. Regardless, Whittington's practice participation level Tuesday and Wednesday should determine if he's at any risk of missing Thursday's big NFC West matchup against the Seahawks.
-
Cody White SEA WR
Seahawks' Cody White: Nursing abdominal injury
6m agoWhite (abdomen) was a limited participant in Monday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
White may have picked up the injury during the Seahawks' 18-16 win over the Colts on Sunday, when he did not record a target while playing nine snaps on offense. He'll have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation ahead of Thursday's NFC West tilt against the Rams.
-
Derick Hall SEA LB
Seahawks' Derick Hall: Full participant at walkthrough
6m agoHall (finger) was considered a full participant at Monday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Hall suffered a finger injury in the team's 18-16 win over the Colts, but he now appears to be on track to play in Week 16. The linebacker will have two more chances to officially log a full practice ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Rams.
-
Will Shipley PHI RB
Eagles' Will Shipley: No offensive touches in blowout win
7m agoShipley did not receive a carry or a target in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Raiders.
The Eagles went up by 31 pointson the first play of the fourth quarter, a situation which usually leads to some garbage time touches for running backs lower on the depth chart. In this case, those all went to Tank Bigsby, who had 27 offensive snaps to Shipley's three and 17 carries to Shipley's zero.
-
Dareke Young SEA WR
Seahawks' Dareke Young: Opens week with full practice
7m agoYoung (quadriceps) was a full participant in Monday's walkthrough practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
The Seahawks held a walkthrough to open Week 16 prep, but Young has been a full practice participant since his 21-day practice window opened in early December. The 2022 seventh-rounder has missed the Seahawks' last seven games due to a quad injury, but he has a chance to return Thursday against the Rams if he's activated from IR.

Ha-seong Kim ATL SS
Braves' Ha-Seong Kim: Remaining in Atlanta
2h agoKim signed a one-year, $20 million contract with Atlanta on Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Kim finished out the 2025 campaign with Atlanta after being claimed off waivers, and he did enough to earn himself another look with the club in 2026. He slashed .253/.316/.368 with three home runs, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored in 24 games down the stretch of the 2025 season after being dumped by the Rays. Kim figures to see the bulk of his playing time at shortstop heading into the upcoming season, though he can also manage at the keystone if necessary. Mauricio Dubon is expected to be deployed as a true utility man following the addition of Kim.

Luis Perales BOS SP
Nationals' Luis Perales: Dealt to Nationals
3h agoThe Nationals acquired Perales from the Red Sox on Monday in exchange for Jake Bennett, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
It's a prospect-for-prospect trade. Perales missed a large chunk of 2024 and nearly all of 2025 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, but he's wowed with his stuff since returning, regularly reaching triple digits with his fastball. The 22-year-old has thrown a total of 9.2 innings beyond A-ball and has a career 12.3 percent walk rate in the minors, but Perales' upside is huge.

Jake Bennett WAS SP
Red Sox's Jake Bennett: Dealt to Boston
3h agoBennett was traded from the Nationals to the Red Sox on Monday in exchange for Luis Perales, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Bennett pitched well during the 2025 season in his first year back since Tommy John surgery, posting a 2.56 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with 33 strikeouts across 45.2 innings at Double-A. He's yet to pitch above the Double-A level, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him begin the 2026 campaign in Portland now that he's joined Boston's farm system. Chief baseball officer for the Red Sox, Craig Breslow, is clearly high on the southpaw. "We feel like Bennett is a high probability starter that excels in some things that are hard to teach," said Breslow, per Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. "Fastball playability driven by above average extension and strike throwing ability. His whiff rates and ability to manage hard contact have us confident in his ability to be a major league starter."

Justin Bruihl TOR RP
Blue Jays' Justin Bruihl: Removed from 40-man roster
4h agoThe Blue Jays designated Bruihl for assignment Monday.
The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Tyler Rogers, whose signing was officially announced Monday. Bruihl made 15 appearances out of Toronto's bullpen in 2025, collecting a 5.27 ERA and 18:7 K:BB across 13.2 frames. The southpaw has been outrighted previously, so he would have to approve an outright assignment by the Blue Jays.
-
Michael Plassmeyer TEX SP
Blue Jays' Michael Plassmeyer: Gets minors pact from Blue Jays
5h agoThe Blue Jays signed Plassmeyer to a minor-league contract Dec. 6.
Plassmeyer spent all of the 2025 season at Triple-A Round Rock in the Rangers organization, posting a 4.43 ERA and 99:34 K:BB over 105.2 innings while splitting time between the rotation and bullpen. It's unclear what role the Blue Jays have in mind for the southpaw, but he's likely headed to Triple-A Buffalo to begin the 2026 season.
-
Yu Darvish SD SP
Padres' Yu Darvish: Undecided on future post-surgery
8h agoDarvish (elbow) said Monday that he's unsure whether he will continue his baseball career after completing rehab for his November UCL repair with an internal brace and flexor tendon surgery, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
Darvish will miss the entire 2026 season and will be 40 years old heading into the 2027 campaign. He's owed $30 million between 2027 and 2028, so while he has financial incentive to continue pitching, the right-hander is currently focused on his rehab and will make a decision about his playing career at a later date. Darvish posted a 5.38 ERA and 68:19 K:BB over 72 regular-season innings covering 15 starts for the Padres in 2025.

Sam Hauser BOS SF
Celtics' Sam Hauser: Doesn't return Monday
3m agoHauser (ankle) failed to return to Monday's game against the Pistons. He didn't score (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in four minutes before exiting.
Hauser departed the contest in the first half after suffering an ankle injury and was held out the rest of the way. It's safe to consider him day-to-day until the team has more information to share on Hauser's availability going forward.
-
Peyton Watson DEN SF
Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Questionable to return
7m agoWatson is questionable to return to Monday's game against the Rockets due to a right trunk contusion.
Watson made his way back to the bench shortly after being evaluated in the locker room. However, he didn't appear to be moving well on the sideline, per Bennett Durando of The Denver Post.
-
Nikola Jovic MIA PF
Heat's Nikola Jovic: X-rays return negative
21m agoX-rays on Jovic's right arm came back negative, and he'll undergo an MRI on Tuesday, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports.
This is promising news for the Heat after it looked as though Jovic suffered a significant injury during Monday's matchup against the Raptors. Tuesday's scans should give Miami a better idea of the timetable for Jovic's return to play.
-
Peyton Watson DEN SF
Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Heads to locker room Monday
25m agoWatson headed to the locker room during Monday's game against the Rockets due to an apparent left side injury, Brendan Vogt of TheDNVR.com reports.
Watson was spotted grabbing his left side as he walked to the locker room, and his absence would thin the team's frontcourt depth. With Aaron Gordon (hamstring) also out, not having Watson could translate to more minutes for Spencer Jones, Zeke Nnaji and even Tim Hardaway.
-
Brandon Clarke MEM C
Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Officially out
1h agoClarke (knee) is out for Monday's game against the Clippers.
Clarke has been practicing in the G League, but he's not yet ready for game action. His next opportunity for a return will arrive Wednesday in Minnesota.
-
James Harden LAC PG
Clippers' James Harden: Officially cleared
1h agoHarden (calf) has been cleared to play Monday against Memphis, Joey Linn of SI.com reports.
There was some confusion about Harden's availability after coach Ty Lue prematurely stated that the guard was available for Monday's clash. However, the team has now officially declared Harden available against the Grizzlies.
-
Brandon Hagel TB LW
Lightning's Brandon Hagel: Unable to finish Monday's game
3m agoHagel (undisclosed) was injured in the final frame of Monday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers, and there was no update on his status after the game, per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.
Hagel departed the contest after taking a high forearm from Seth Jones, according to Encina. The 2016 sixth-round pick logged two shots, one hit and a minus-1 rating in 13:32 of ice time prior to exiting. Hagel should be considered day-to-day until more information is provided on his status ahead of Thursday's home matchup against the Kings.
-
Darcy Kuemper LA G
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Sustains injury in Dallas
1h agoKuemper has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game in Dallas due to an upper-body injury.
Kuemper was injured during the opening frame after a collision with Mikko Rantanen at the top of the blue paint. The 35-year-old Kuemper didn't come out for the start of the second period and was replaced between the pipes by Anton Forsberg. If Kuemper is forced to miss any additional time, Pheonix Copley and Erik Portillo will be candidates to be brought up from AHL Ontario. The Kings have a back-to-back set on the road against Florida and Tampa Bay on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
-
Thomas Chabot OTT D
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Closing in on return
1h agoHead coach Travis Green told reporters in Winnipeg on Monday that Chabot (upper body) is skating and is getting closer to returning to the lineup, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.
Chabot hasn't been in the lineup since Nov. 22 in San Jose. Garrioch noted that Chabot is trending toward playing this week, with a potential return date being against the Penguins on Thursday or the Blackhawks on Saturday. The left-shot blueliner will likely slot back into a second-pairing role once he's in the lineup.
-
Max Sasson VAN C
Canucks' Max Sasson: Extends stay in Vancouver
2h agoSasson inked a two-year, $2 million contract extension with the Canucks on Monday.
Sasson will receive a slight bump in salary from his current $775,000 AAV. The 25-year-old's new deal is set to kick in next season and will keep him with Vancouver through the 2027-28 campaign. Sasson has accounted for six goals, eight points, 30 shots on net and a minus-2 rating across 29 appearances this season, mostly in a bottom-six capacity.
-
Otto Stenberg STL C
Blues' Otto Stenberg: Receives first NHL call-up
3h agoStenberg was recalled from AHL Springfield on Monday.
Stenberg will help cover for some of the Blues' injuries up front, as Dylan Holloway (ankle) joined a growing list of forwards on injured reserve Monday. The 20-year-old Stenberg was the No. 25 overall pick in 2023, and he has yet to make his NHL debut. The left-shot center has contributed three goals and eight points over 21 appearances with the Thunderbirds this season.
-
Linus Ullmark OTT G
Senators' Linus Ullmark: Defending crease Monday
6h agoUllmark will guard the road goal against Winnipeg on Monday, per Andrew Wilimek of the Senators' official site.
Ullmark is coming off a 24-save effort in Thursday's 6-3 win over Columbus. He has gone 11-8-4 this season with a 3.05 GAA and an .877 save percentage across 23 appearances. Winnipeg is tied with Ottawa and Vegas for 15th in the league with 3.06 goals per game this year.
